I'm a huge fan of 3B1B and how he creates appealing and easy-to-understand videos. But he doesn't have a video for every single topic. Whenever I needed help in math or physics, I would try to watch his videos but the issue is that are just not specific enough to my content or curriculum. This issue applies to every single video explanation out there, they just aren't personalized. Most educational videos explain general topics, but they don’t align perfectly with the specific question I have or the way I need it explained. That’s the gap I wanted to fill. So I built a tool that generates…

What it does
Torial turns any text or script into a polished explainer video in seconds. Perfect for quick tutorials, demos, and clear explanations of complex topics with no editing required. Just text in, video out.
In the maker’s words, at launch
Been working on this for a few months after realizing how time consuming it is to create educational content. You input text, it generates a complete video with visuals, voiceover, and animations in ~20 seconds(for brainrot videos) or 2 minutes(for in-depth videos). More than 10k videos have been generated so far.…

I've been building prototypes of new AI learning tools for months, but I recently learned that 3blue1brown open sourced his incredible math animation library, Manim, and that LLMs could generate code for it without any fine-tuning. So I made a tool that automatically generates animated math/science explanations in the style of 3blue1brown using Manim from any text prompt. Try it yourself at https://TMA.live (no signup required) or see the demo video here: https://x.com/i/status/1874948287759081608 The UX is pretty simple right now, you just write a…
I made a website that converts YT videos into step-by-step guides2024 · stepify.tech · ▲271Hey HN, I've been working on this side project for the past month. It generates a step-by-step tutorial guide for YouTube videos that you can follow along without watching long videos. Best suited for tutorial videos but can work for other videos aswell. No BS. Just straight to the point. The guides are generated from pure transcript so you don't have to worry about it being AI. It's my first project as a total beginner. Something I had to do inorder to get out of tutorial hell. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or if you face any problems or bugs. I would try to fix them to the…
- IMI made a cheap alternative to college-level math & physics tutoring2024 · ▲391
Hi everyone! I’m the founder of Explanations (https://explanations.app). I’m building a website where students can get college level math & physics help for 1/10th the cost of private tutoring. You’d type a question, and your teacher replies by drawing a Youtube/KhanAcademy-style video; and this happens asynchronously throughout the week. When I was studying at MIT, I often had to wait 40-60 minutes in line just to get 5 minutes of “help” from a TA - when I needed 1-2 hours. I understood that TAs can’t spend all their time helping me. That’s understandable. But what made…
Learn Blender shortcuts with lots of tiny videos2024 · hollisbrown.github.io · ▲171I've used blender for more than a decade and now ask myself what the best way to teach it would look like. Video generally seems the best format to explain how to solve a specific problem, but its not exactly great for larger collections of small bits of information – like blender shortcuts. This is why I made this video/text hybrid website from scratch. If you're a blender user or have experience in teaching others, I'd be very happy to hear your thoughts on it. I'm also posting this here because I assume many of your are professional web developers. I'm a learning hobbyist and…
X-PilotApr 2026 · x-pilot.ai · ▲328Hi HN, I'm Heshan, founder of X-Pilot. We're building an AI Video Generator for online courses and educational content. Unlike most text-to-video generator that render videos directly from models (which often produce random stock footage unrelated to the actual content), we take a code-first approach: generate editable code layers, let users verify/refine them, then render to video. The Problem We're Solving Most AI video generators treat "education" and "marketing" the same—they optimize for "looks good" rather than "logically accurate." When you feed a technical tutorial or course…

I built the world's most impractical 1000-pixel display and anyone in the world can draw on it. It draws a single pixel at a time and takes 30-60 minutes to complete a single image. Anyone can participate in the project by voting for the next image to be drawn, and submitting images. https://kilopx.com/

Kitten TTS is an open-source series of tiny and expressive text-to-speech models for on-device applications. We are excited to launch a preview of our smallest model, which is less than 25 MB. This model has 15M parameters. This release supports English text-to-speech applications in eight voices: four male and four female. The model is quantized to int8 + fp16, and it uses onnx for runtime. The model is designed to run literally anywhere eg. raspberry pi, low-end smartphones, wearables, browsers etc. No GPU required! We're releasing this to give early users a sense of the latency and voices…

I was wondering how I can arrange objects along a spherical helix path, and read some articles on it. I ended up learning about parametric equations again, and make this visualization to document what I learned: https://visualrambling.space/moving-objects-in-3d/ feel free to visit and let me know what you think!

For HTML Day 2025 [1], I made a web service that displays the current sky at your approximate location as a CSS gradient. Colours are simulated on-demand using atmospheric absorption and scattering coefficients. Updates every minute, without the use of client-side JavaScript.
