Let me know what you think! About CLIPS: CLIPS is a programming language useful for building Rules Engines and Expert Systems. It's written in C, so it's pretty darned easy to put data in/get data out from other languages written in C. It was started in the mid-80s at NASA, and it was released to the public in the mid-90s. It's still in active development by the original developer.

hi all, I've always wanted to make my own game, but couldn't afford a thousand-dollar adobe (flash+photoshop) license. I'm not a talented programmer, have no degree in CS. But I understand some elements of design. So I got me a copy of ImpactJS, and after about 5 months of steep learning curve (at least for me), I managed to come up with a game. I also integrated it with a highscore and badge system, similar to what you get at Kongregate. Initially, I was interested in using YouTube videos to learn languages using the simple shadowing technique. It sounds fancy, but it's simply listening and repeating. However, I found it pretty inconvenient to use the vanilla YouTube player to replay video parts. Especially when I needed to do it several times. Hey HN! Last week I was working on a website and needed a way to synchronise visuals with live music. I've used MIDI controllers for this before, but I am travelling right now and don't have mine with me. So I had the crazy idea to build a browser extension that uses the keyboard as input and includes a sequencer. I gave myself 24 to work on it. Hey HN, I 3d scanned the interior of the Great Pyramid / Khufu's pyramid for the Giza Project this summer and just finished the guided version to share.
