TypeMyVibe – Find your Personality type from Reddit, X, or chat data
TypeMyVibe analyzes your Reddit or X profile (just by username), or you can upload a WhatsApp/Instagram chat to get a personality report with MBTI, Enneagram, Big 5, and more. I built this because I’ve always been fascinated by personality theories, but also frustrated with how easily they’re biased. Most tests depend on self-perception, which changes with mood. I wanted to see if analyzing real language could reveal a person’s true type. What made me to actually build it was when my sister got the same MBTI as me (INTP). I knew she wasn’t, so I built a system that could prove it using…
What it does
In the maker’s words, at launch
TypeMyVibe analyzes your Reddit or X profile (just by username), or you can upload a WhatsApp/Instagram chat to get a personality report with MBTI, Enneagram, Big 5, and more. I built this because I’ve always been fascinated by personality theories, but also frustrated with how easily they’re biased. Most tests depend on self-perception, which changes with mood. I wanted to see if analyzing real language could reveal a person’s true type. What made me to actually build it was when my sister got the same MBTI as me (INTP). I knew she wasn’t, so I built a system that could prove it using our chats. I got INTP and She got ISTP. For privacy, nothing is stored — I only keep a temporary dictionary in memory that’s cleared after analysis. It runs on GPT-OSS-120B, so no big AI companies ever see user data. I’m curious: are most people here INTPs, INTJs, or ENTJs? And how common are Enneagram 3s and 5s among founders? Would love if a few of you tried it out and shared what type you got — I’m hoping to get some insight into the HN crowd. https://typemyvibe.ai

Hey HN, I recently built whatstype.org , a free personality test website that helps people explore their thinking, communication, and relationship patterns. Unlike most MBTI-style sites that only give you a short label, Whatstype digs deeper: The test adapts to your responses dynamically Results are structured around reasoning style, emotional pattern, and social interaction Each of the 16 personality types includes detailed analysis, strengths, challenges, and real-life advice No login, no tracking — everything runs client-side I built it because I was frustrated with the typical “clickbait…

I went down the rabbit hole on a side project and ended up building this: Strange Attractors(https://blog.shashanktomar.com/posts/strange-attractors). It’s built with three.js. Working on it reminded me of the little "maths for fun" exercises I used to do while learning programming in early days. Just trying things out, getting fascinated and geeky, and being surprised by the results. I spent way too much time on this, but it was extreme fun. My favorite part: someone pointed me to the Simone Attractor on Threads. It is a 2D attractor and I asked GPT to extrapolate it to…

Hey all, I built this. It’s not trying to capture every autistic experience (that’d be impossible). It’s based on my own lived experience as well as that of friends on the spectrum. I'm trying to give people a feel for what masking, decision fatigue, and burnout can look like day-to-day. That’s hard to explain in words, but easier to show through choices and stats. I'm not trying to "define autism". I’ve gotten good feedback here about resilience, meds, and difficulty tuning. I’ll keep tweaking it. If even a few people walk away thinking, "ah, maybe that’s why my coworker struggles in those…
