Valmi.io Open Source Reverse-ETL Engine

Hi HN Community, We have built the valmi.io open-source reverse-ETL platform. You can quickly check out a live demo sync by following the link on the GitHub page or at the bottom. Please try it out. You can also easily deploy it locally or schedule a run on the demo website. We are seeking feedback on the product. We have outlined a variety of use cases valmi.io currently supports on the blog. Currently, the engine supports 13+ connectors. The connectors are built using the airbyte protocol, and dagster is used as the orchestration engine. We will soon provide a detailed architecture…

What it does

In the maker’s words, at launch

Currently, the engine supports 13+ connectors. The connectors are built using the airbyte protocol, and dagster is used as the orchestration engine. We will soon provide a detailed architecture diagram. We are currently working on essential features such as injecting state on connector failures. More upcoming features are listed on the website: https://www.valmi.io. Please give it a try, and valuable feedback from early adopters will shape the product. Nous – Open-Source Agent Framework with Autonomous, SWE Agents, WebUI2024 · github.com · ▲155

Hello HN! The day has finally come to stop adding features and start sharing what I've been building the last 5-6 months. It's a bit of CrewAI, OpenDevon, LangFuse/Cloud all in one, providing devs who prefer TypeScript an integrated framework thats provides a lot out of the box to start experimenting and building agents with. It started after peeking at the LangChain docs a few times and never liking the example code. I began experimenting with automating a simple Jira request from the engineering team to add an index to one of our Google Spanner databases (for context I'm the…

    Semgrep App2021 · ▲79

https://semgrep.dev/products/semgrep-app Hi! I work on Semgrep, an open-source project (discussed on HN previously [0][1)]. We’re one of those companies that maintain an OSS tool and a web app, and then monetize by selling enterprise features on said web app. Our free web app just went through a major revamp (sort of like a v1.0 release) so this feels like the perfect time to share and hear what the HN crowd thinks! Let me start with some backstory on Semgrep. Our team, r2c, has been experimenting with various ways to help organizations step up their application security…

Smart contract decompiler that uses symbolic execution2018 · ▲68

Hi All, I released an EVM/Solidity decompiler recently, here: http://www.eveem.org/ Since it uses symbolic execution underneath, the results are quite awesome. There is also an api that delivers a .json / middle language representation of every contract here: http://eveem.org/code/{{address}}.json The plan is to open-source it as soon as I clean up the code a bit. Spent the last two month crunch-time to get it delivered from scratch :)

    Hyprsqrl – open-source revolut you can self-host (live iban/sepa/ACH)2025 · github.com · ▲9

Hi HN! Ben here from hyprsqrl, and I just open-sourced something we’ve been quietly running in production: *hyprsqrl is a self-hostable bank. Think Revolut (if you know it), but every line of code is MIT/AGPL, you can run it on your own box, and the crypto bits stay hidden under the hood. --- ### Why we built it Moving money between USD and EUR still means wire fees, surprise freezes, and “call your bank” hoops. Fintechs like Revolut help—until their pricing changes or a regulator knocks. hyprsqrl aims for the resilience of self-hosting *without* forcing users to study crypto. Two…

    We built a <60ms, open-source alternative to E2B using RustVMM and KVMApr 2026 · github.com · ▲7

Over the past few months, as we scaled our internal AI Agents, we hit a dead end: Running LLM-generated arbitrary code in Docker is basically running naked on security due to container escape risks. But using full traditional VMs takes minutes to boot and eats too much memory to support high-density concurrency. We loved the developer experience of SaaS sandboxes on the market, but they are closed-source, expensive, and have too high a barrier to entry for self-hosting. So, our team decided to build our own. After months of grinding, using RustVMM and KVM, we built a blazing-fast,…

    I built an offline open-source RAG system DataBridge2025 · github.com · ▲7

Hey HN! Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working on DataBridge, an open-source solution for data ingestion and querying across text, PDFs, images, and videos. In our latest update, we’ve added a fully local deployment option: - No internet required – Runs entirely offline. - Customizable Models – Supports any LLM and embedding model via Ollama (with options for any other private providers) - Extensibility – You can plug in your own models or tools easily. This local-first approach ensures better privacy, security, and flexibility, especially for teams dealing with sensitive data. You can…

Heya HN, I've been working on a reddit-like platform as my primary side project for the last few years. Doing a (very) soft launch today, mainly because I want to use it to encourage discussion of alternatives. How non.io works: 1. Free to browse, paid to interact. 2. Minimum subscription is $2 (though you can choose more). I take $1 to run the servers, everything left gets split evenly between everything you upvote that month. It's a simple model, but I hope it's a better one than the freemium model we've been relying on for the last few years. Fundamentally I feel like any ad-supported…
