Vergate — Website Health & Security
Your website, audited in seconds.
What it does
Shipping a website doesn’t mean everything is right. Vergate gives you a fast post-production check of your website, uncovering the issues you may have missed before they reach your users. It then turns those findings into actionable AI fix prompts, so you can go from **“what’s wrong?” to “how do I fix it?”** without digging through a dozen different tools.
Know what's wrong with your website before users do. Vergate scans security, performance, SEO, accessibility and reliability — with evidence and exact fixes.
Vergate continuously checks your website for security, performance, accessibility, SEO and reliability problems — and tells you exactly what to fix. One scan checks all six. A single health score ties them together so you know where to start. Active DAST scanning probes your endpoints for injection vulnerabilities that passive checks can't find. Core Web Vitals, bundle sizes, caching, and third-party impact — rated against thresholds so you know what to fix. Meta tags, structured data, sitemap — plus GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot access checks for AI-answer-engine optimization. axe-core runs WCAG 2.1 AA checks. Violations grouped by impact with CSS selectors you can act on…from vergate.dev

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
