VestingGap — RSU & Equity Tax Simulator
Calculate your true RSU tax gap & avoid IRS tax penalties
What it does
When Big Tech RSUs vest, brokerages withhold a flat 22% tax. But for engineers earning $200k–$500k+, marginal tax brackets reach 32%–37%+ state taxes, creating massive surprise tax bills at tax time. VestingGap is a zero-login, 100% browser-based calculator built for tech workers. In 15 seconds, see your true marginal tax liability, exact underpayment risk, additional shares to sell-to-cover and estimated quarterly IRS payment schedules. No signup, no ads, 2026 tax bracket accuracy.
One RSU tax insight every Monday — precise, useful, short enough to read before your first standup. No ads. Nofrom vestinggap.com

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
