VisualHFT Founders Beta
See order flow in real time. Founders Beta is now open.
What it does
VisualHFT prices a working market-microstructure terminal from $0, with paid plans starting at $129/mo, no enterprise sales call required. This launch opens the Founders Beta: live L2 order book depth, VPIN, LOB imbalance, and market resilience metrics across 7 crypto venues, GPU-accelerated charts, a session recorder and replay engine for backtesting, and a plugin SDK for custom studies. Built for solo quants and systematic traders, not just desks with a data-vendor budget.
Real-time analytics and infrastructure monitoring for electronic trading.
See liquidity deterioration, toxic flow, execution risk, and changing market conditions as they develop—not after they disappear into logs and post-trade analysis. Real-time market microstructure intelligence for quantitative trading teams. VisualHFT gives quantitative teams continuous visibility into the market structures and system behaviors that determine execution quality, strategy performance, and operational risk. See liquidity withdrawal, imbalance shifts, toxic flow, spread instability, and resilience deterioration while conditions are still developing. Connect order-book behavior, trades, venue conditions, and system performance to identify what is affecting fills, slippage, and…from visualhft.com

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
