Hey HN! I’m excited to share Strawberry, Chrome extension that provides instant summaries of YouTube videos when you hover over thumbnails—think “Wikipedia link previews” but for YouTube. I love YouTube—it’s genuinely enriched my life over the years. But I often find myself getting pulled into endless rabbit holes due to catchy thumbnails. So I made Strawberry to help navigate YouTube more mindfully. Right now we have 3 features: - Hover any thumbnail for a summary (including Homepage, Search, Suggested vids, Shorts) - Detailed video summaries - Chat with videos Eager to hear your thoughts, and especially how it could be more useful for you!
