Rocket Journal2025 · rocketjournal.app · ▲218Hi HN! I just launched Rocket Journal, a voice-first journaling app designed to make reflection as easy as talking. Key ideas: Rant mode — vent freely, no judgment Reflect mode — guided prompts to help dig deeper AI insights — mood tracking, patterns, helpful takeaways Stickers & scrapbook — journaling feels lighter and fun Privacy-first — your data isn’t used to train models I built this because journaling apps often feel like “work.” I wanted something that felt like having a safe, responsive companion for those late-night thoughts or walks outside. I’d love feedback from the HN community:…
I made a Flutter app for loneliness. 14000 min of voice messages later:2024 · main.d1lmgoealm7rq0.amplifyapp.com · ▲35I hope you are doing better today than yesterday. (TLDR in the comments; or enjoy my story :) ) Why: About 11 months ago, I launched my app for the first time on Reddit's r/lonely because I had previously experienced loneliness myself during grad school. I wanted to reach out to people going through similar experiences by providing them with what would’ve helped me in the past. I felt this was an important mission for me and a much more rewarding one than my day job that I quit my job to work on the app full-time. It was necessary because I did not come from a programming background. I…
Echologue – the private AI voice journal I built for myselfJul 2026 · echologue.com · ▲29I have tried journaling many times but nothing stuck. It allows me to ask questions like: * "remind me highlights and crazy nights in the last 3 months" * "How was I feeling during my trip in Spain and how big of a problem was my breakup" * "How would you judge my overall interactions with Marc after I told him about my problems" the…
