Windsify

Windows keyboard shortcuts and window snapping for your Mac

What it does

Windsify brings Windows keyboard shortcuts and a native Mac window manager into one menu-bar app. Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V, Alt+Tab, Home/End and Win+Arrow work the Windows way, while Terminal keeps Ctrl+C as interrupt. No modifier swap, app telemetry or account.

Windows shortcuts and window management for Mac in one native menu-bar app. Every download runs full Pro for 14 days, then keeps the Free features. Pro is $14.99 once at the Early Bird price, normally $19.99.

Windsify translates the shortcuts your hands already know — Ctrl+C, Alt+Tab, Win+Arrow — and manages your windows, in one native menu-bar app. Physical Ctrl stays Ctrl. Nothing to relearn, nothing leaves your Mac. Early Bird $19.99 $14.99 — first 100 customers · 3 Macs · 14-day Pro trial · Signed & notarized Same keys. Same fingers. Windsify does the translating underneath. Ctrl+C, Ctrl+Z, Alt+Tab, Alt+F4, Win+L — the Windows way, everywhere. Terminal keeps Ctrl+C as interrupt. Halves, quarters, fill & restore, drag-to-edge preview, multi-display moves. A full window manager built in. Detects other keyboard remappers, window managers and hidutil mappings, pauses only what overlaps. Migrate…from windsify.com

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
