XID

What it does

XID is an open-source identity platform built for Cloudflare Workers. One codebase gives you Hosted Auth with passkey-first sign-in, a full OIDC/OAuth 2.1 identity provider, multi-tenant organizations with RBAC, enterprise federation (SAML, OIDC, SCIM), and SDKs for every major framework. Self-host on your own Cloudflare account with the full feature set - no tiering, no license checks. MIT licensed.

XID is one identity product for your app and your customers: hosted sign-in and accounts, OpenID Connect for your apps, organizations with enterprise SSO and SCIM, and one console. Free on XID Cloud, MIT licensed to self-host.

Hosted sign-in, OIDC, SSO and SCIM per organization, one console. Your app redirects to XID and gets the user back with tokens. Afterward, people manage their sessions, devices and data on their own account page. Email link and code sign-in: verified in production on xid.dev. Other sign-in methods and the account page: verified locally. Use our SDKs or any OIDC library. Access tokens are signed JWTs that carry the organization, and your backend verifies them without a network call. Example values in the shape XID issues. This is not a real token.   I've been working on this for some time now, starting with vm2, then deno-core for 2 years, and recently rewrote it on rusty_v8 with Claude's help. OpenWorkers lets you run untrusted JS in V8 isolates on your own infrastructure. Same DX as Cloudflare Workers, no vendor lock-in. What works today: fetch, KV, Postgres bindings, S3/R2, cron scheduling, crypto.subtle. Self-hosting is a single docker-compose file + Postgres.
