Yggdrasil 1.0 – Native executables for Shen
Yggdrasil allows for the generation of type secure stand-alone native language programs from Shen source programs. We are pleased to announce the release of Yggdrasil 1.0 which has a plug-in configured for Common Lisp. Yggdrasil requires Shen 34.6 which is now available from https://shenlanguage.org/download.html. Questions to https://groups.google.com/g/qilang. More details on Yggdrasil can be found at https://shenlanguage.org/yggdrasil.html.
In plain words
Yggdrasil 1.0 is a tool that converts Shen source code into type-secure standalone native programs. The initial release includes a Common Lisp plugin for code generation. It is designed for developers working with Shen who need to compile their programs into native executables while maintaining type safety. Yggdrasil requires Shen 34.6 or later to function.

Hi HN, I built Eigendrum, a web tool that solves the 2D wave equation for arbitrary shapes so you can hear what they sound like as drums. How it works: * Solves -∇²u = λu using finite element analysis (Kφ = λMφ) on a triangle mesh. * Validated to <0.1% error against closed-form solutions for circles (Bessel zeros) and rectangles. * Sound model factors in strike location, Rayleigh damping, and mallet width. * Includes Kac drums I & II to demonstrate identical sound spectra from different geometries. * No frameworks, build steps, or dependencies. Repo and tests:…
