In the last days I started to build a Google Reader replacement http://reader.is (also found this nice domain name). What do you think of it? For the moment it's just very simple you can add feeds and then read them aggregated or single.

hey Everyone, I built FeedRebel [ http://www.feedrebel.com ] partly because I needed a feed reader myself but mainly because it ties in nicely with an idea that I've been working on. For those of you that are still on the fence when it comes to choosing a Google Reader alternative, I would love it if you could give FeedRebel a try and let me know your thoughts. I recently decided to try out Google Tasks as my only task management system, and while I find some things about the interface great, it really isn't suited for someone like me who has multiple lists with lots of elements on each. So, I whipped this together real fast and I can't imagine using Google Tasks without it anymore. I realized you might want it too, so I put it on the web. Enjoy :)

I blew off a bunch of "serious" side work last month and built a tiny little embeddable editing tool that I've wanted to have for Ars Technica since, well, the beginning of internet time. It lets any random user make edit suggestions for writers/editors to consider and act on. I think it's pretty cool and it's gotten some good use over the last few weeks. One year ago, I downloaded the news.arc code and decided that I would teach myself programming by building a better aggregator. At that time, I had some rudimentary HTML knowledge, and little FORTRAN under my belt. I built this app because I really enjoyed "Pulse" but I felt it lacked a few things. I wanted a web-based version, I wanted my news articles grouped together by topic, and I wanted an easy way to share with other people. Hey HN, After GPT-3 created waves in the tech industry, a lot of AI tools were emerging and with that, some AI website builders But the results seemed way too generic to us. Hello! I built a web-app called JungleReader that lets you follow RSS, Mastodon, YouTube, Reddit, and random blogs, all in one place. I made JungleReader as a central place to follow the blogs and sites I like, which I otherwise often lose track of. My next project (which is WIP) is a web-app called JungleWriter where you can build a simple blog and export it for hosting.
