A game-like quest to help SMBs implement AI with confidence

Hi HN, Can current AI systems actually run a business? There’s a growing belief that LLM agents can already manage entire teams, replace the entire software stack or even act as an AI CEO. So we built a controlled, measurable environment to evaluate this premise. Why did we build this benchmark? A modern enterprise operates in a dynamic environment with high uncertainty and incomplete information. The CEO has to deal with delayed consequences, staffing/resource tradeoffs and death by a thousand cuts of failure modes. If we ever want AI systems that can meaningfully make operational or…

Hi HN, I’m a former C++ dev turned Product Manager. I’ve noticed many engineers struggle with the "politics" side of things when they become Leads. To help with this, I’m building a text-based simulator. It is NOT an AI chatbot. It is a hand-crafted, branching narrative (logic tree) based on real experiences. I just launched the first scenario: "The Backchannel VP." The Setup: Your VP Engineering is bypassing you and giving tasks directly to your juniors, causing chaos. Your Goal: Stop the backchanneling without getting fired. It’s a short, specific puzzle. I’d love to know if you think the…

For a while I've been thinking about a Agent that can be interacted with during the game. This interaction could be a simple dialog or a quest. This project I'm working on aims to help the game designer to create dynamic and procedural quest or dialogues, once the Agent has some information about itself to answer the player (it's name, it's age, what it's doing...). Please read the README, take a look at the example and see if this project is somewhat helpful. https://github.com/victorqribeiro/gaia

I made an idle/clicker about running an AI startup. You start with a cat-vs-dog classifier and try to make it to AGI, but the NYT sues you for training data, Yann tweets that scaling is dead, and your fired ML engineer leaks the Slack.

I made a lightweight web game about compute CAPEX tradeoffs: https://darios-dilemma.up.railway.app/ No signup, runs on mobile/desktop. Loop per round: 1. choose compute capacity 2. forecast demand 3. allocate capacity between training and inference 4. random demand shock resolves outcome You can end profitable, cash constrained, or bankrupt depending on allocation + forecast error. Goal was to make the decision surface intuitive in 2–3 minutes per run. It’s a toy model and deliberately omits many real world factors. Note: this is based on what I learned after listening to…
