Hi all, excited to share our latest work, OK-Robot, which is an open and modular framework to perform navigation and manipulation with a robot assistant in practically any homes without having to teach the robot anything new! You can simply unbox the target robot, install OK-Robot, give it a "scan" (think a 60 second iPhone video), and start asking the robot to move arbitrary things from A to B. Introducing Stack-chan, an open-source hardware robot designed with Fusion360 and Kicad that is easy to assemble and customize. With just 6 screws, you can easily put together the robot and add your own features using JavaScript with the Moddable SDK. Robotics is advancing really fast lately, with AI inference, different controllers, software, and parts always changing. I wanted a place that supports many device types, Raspberry Pi, NVDA Jetson, Arduino, ESP32, hardware sources, and maximizes for printability. My friend and I have been working on Arcad for some months now. It's a free browser-based parametric CAD tool aimed at hobbyists and makers. It has editable feature history, solid modeling powered by OpenCascade, STEP export and touch controls for tablets, although it's primarily made for PC use. Everything runs in the browser and you can try it without creating an account or installing anything. Currently in beta although we feel like it's ready for a full launch. Our new, free ros-tool capability makes it trivial to interact with ROS from the web. It provides a React API for subscribing and publish to topics and for placing service calls. It works with both ROS 1 and 2, and unlike rosbridge, it caches all data in the cloud, which means your UIs will work even when your robot is offline (just showing the latest data). Since all data is synced via the cloud, it is also much easier and more efficient to aggregate data from multiple robots, e.g., for showing your fleet on a map.
