We just open-sourced CargoWall - a lightweight eBPF firewall for GitHub Actions. We originally built it to stop LLM agents from connecting to untrusted domains. After recent GitHub Actions supply chain compromises like the Trivy attack, we realized it'd work well for blocking untrusted connections from CI runners too. It uses iptables DNAT to redirect all outbound port 53 traffic to a local DNS proxy, which checks each query against a hostname allowlist before forwarding. Resolved IPs from allowed responses are inserted into eBPF LPM trie maps, and a TC egress classifier attached to the…

over this weekend myself and two of my friends took part in a hackathon and built this side-project. we have been diving into computer-use recently and developed an sdk to make it easy to implement for devs like us. one feature we were missing though, was the agent being able to log into services. anthropic understandably blocks this capability with their guardrails, and you wouldn't want your credentials to end up in any model context anyways. so we added a keychain service to the vm that the agent is using. it was built using the pass cli (https://www.passwordstore.org/).…

TL;DR: we built a framework-agnostic agent runtime that uses gVisor for isolation and runs on k8s. It’s open-source under AGPLv3 Recently we’ve been working on a customer support “AI assistant” - essentially an interactive knowledge base/L1 support but with an option to touch resources that belong to a customer it’s talking to. We found existing tools to be lacking in these aspects: 1. Fully intercepted i/o. We wanted to trace out LLM calls as well as any other networking calls attempted by the harness so that guardrails and audit trails apply to all current and future systems…

We just open-sourced the internal system we built at Assembled for running coding agents as a team. Coding agents worked well for individual engineers, but the surrounding workflow was a bit of a mess. We generally found that many engineers had different MCP connections and context for their agents, personal automations running that other people couldn’t access, and very little introspection for what a human’s input into the coding agent looked like. So we built an internal system that converted coding agents into shared team infrastructure. The system runs Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode, and…

Hi HN, I’m the creator of Cordum. I’ve been working in DevOps and infrastructure for years (currently in the fintech/security space), and as I started playing with AI agents, I noticed a scary pattern. Most "safety" mechanisms rely on system prompts ("Please don't do X") or flimsy Python logic inside the agent itself. If we treat agents as autonomous employees, giving them root access and hoping they listen to instructions felt insane to me. I wanted a way to enforce hard constraints that the LLM cannot override, no matter how "jailbroken" it gets. So I built Cordum. It’s an open-source…

Hey HN! We built a tool that uses eBPF to discover AI services and their data flows in Kubernetes clusters. Modern AI apps often follow this pattern: 1. Service receives request 2. Queries database (PostgreSQL/Redis/MongoDB) 3. Sends data to LLM API (OpenAI/Anthropic/Bedrock) 4. Consumes or returns the AI generated response Security teams often don't know: - Which services are making AI calls - What databases they're accessing first - Whether PII is being sent to third-party APIs - What libraries and packages are being used for AI Our eBPF based tool attaches to network…

Open Computer Usefree▲9Hi everyone, I'm Vasek (https://x.com/mlejva), the CEO of the company behind this - https://e2b.dev. The company is called E2B. We're an open-source (https://github.com/e2b-dev) devtool that makes it easy to run untrusted AI-generated code in our secure sandboxes. You can think of us as coding runtime for LLMs. You can self host us on GCP (https://github.com/e2b-dev/infra/blob/main/self-host.md) and we're working on AWS, then Azure, and any Linux machine. This repo is one of our open-source projects that we're…
