Hey all! We've been working on this browser extension with a friend for the last three years and we've made a few updates recently, so I figured I'd post it here :) We're building it as an open source and more modern alternative to things like Momentum. minimalistab is an extension for Chrome that replaces the default "New tab" page with a blank WYSIWYG editor for taking notes. Sometimes I need a blank screen to stare at, especially when context switching between tasks; so I made this Chrome extension with basic note taking capabilities. I wanted the raw, old skool terminal days of the early internet - BBS, and old green phosphor library comptuers - but running the modern web, with all the bells and jingle jangle whistles (JavaScript, etc). No funding, no VC, just 100% raw terminal fun. Not sure how long the demo will last, but try it out.

Hey HN I read and research multiple things, both for work and personal curiosity. But I realized that in doing so, I have to frequently switch among many reading tabs and note-taking pages, which breaks my reading flow. That's why I teamed up with my friends to build Saner.ai Chrome Extension. It’s a side panel note that appears across tabs, and we can toggle it on and off whenever we like. My partner and I are avid users of Delicious/Pinboard and wanted a quick way to add to and access our stored bookmarks. We created a Chrome extension to scratch that itch. It shows your ten most-recent bookmarks by default, with a fast search interface to find older bookmarks, and keyboard shortcuts for navigation. We plan to add pagination in an upcoming release, and have considered adding support for Safari as well as alternate bookmarking backends.
