Products that do what Browser-based .NET IDE with visual designer, NuGet packages, code share does

Hi HN, I'm Giovanni, founder of Userware. We built XAML.io, a free browser-based IDE for C# and XAML that compiles and runs .NET projects entirely client-side via WebAssembly. No server-side build step. The link above opens a sample project using Newtonsoft.Json. Click Run to compile and execute it in your browser. You can edit the code, add NuGet packages, and share your project via a URL. What's new in v0.6: - NuGet package support (any library compatible with Blazor WebAssembly) - Code sharing via URL with GitHub-like forking and attribution - XAML autocompletion, AI error fixing, split…

Have been building a web IDE & browser based code editor and v2.0 has now launched. Contains a whole load of features beyond just code highlighting such as online & offline use, code completion, type boosting, Emmet, database management, find & replace builder, auto backups, Github syncing and a whole lot more. Oh, and it's free & open source. Any and all feedback welcomed.

Hey HN, I built a custom IDE in the browser as part of the Open Data Capture platform. It is based on the Monaco editor, which also powers VS Code. Unfortunately, there are very few examples online showing how to use Monaco with more advanced features (e.g., TypeScript/JSX support, Prettier integration, multiple files), so I figure this could be helpful for some folks out there. I built this to allow semi-technical users to design instruments (e.g., forms and interactive tasks) for our data capture platform. It includes a custom build toolchain, based on the esbuild-wasm build, that…

Hey HN, I'm Mehul, founder of codedamn. I'm glad to release codedamn creator (https://creator.codedamn.com/) in public beta today - the first (and only?) interactive course creating platform available to create truly interactive programming courses. Unlike existing solutions of embedding iframes from different code execution services, we have built the whole system from the ground up - allowing the course students to work inside a powerful in-browser editor solving code challenges. This will enable you to create highly interactive courses on virtually any topic. Want to teach…

I am super excited to open-source the code executor behind logicboard.com - an in-browser collaborative code editor. The backend is written in Elixir+Phoenix and implements a WebSocket API to execute code in docker containers. Next steps include making this more secure, I am considering Google's gVisor to implement better isolation between containers and the host kernel.

I've been specializing in UI for over a decade. Using code for UI is great but I always wished there was a more visual code to build apps and sites. So I went ahead and built it. Decided to build it with Compose Multiplatform since I work a lot with Kotlin. Currently exports to CMP as it was simpler due to the context switch. You can try it for free and export some apps

Hi there, I built a React code editor component that also compiles, executes and returns the outputs of the program written in it (via pyodide/webassembly). I believe that this is a useful package for those building projects with web-based code editors. Expanding the library to be more flexible + have greater language support is a goal for the future. Hope it helps someone out there - please feel free to reach out if I can assist. Feedback and suggestions are always welcome.
