Products that do what Claude-pee: use Claude -p without the programmatic usage credit pool does

Anthropic announced today that starting June 15, paid Claude plans get a separate monthly credit pool for programmatic usage (claude -p, Agent SDK). Seems OK at first glance but it turns out the monthly credit pool is charged at API rates, which effectively kills any serious programmatic usage for hobbyists. This is a small Claude Code wrapper which runs claude in a PTY, injecting input, finding the session transcript jsonl file, and using a stop hook to determine when claude is done. It's a drop-in replacement for claude code. All arguments except the "-p" argument are forwarded as-is.…

Anthropic's usage analytics dashboard is only available to Team and Enterprise org admins. On a Pro or Max plan all you get is /usage and the claude.ai usage page, which show where you stand right now but not where you're heading. I looked at various open-source projects but none quite matched what I had in mind: an all-round control panel for Claude Code that's also a single binary, with no dependencies and no install steps. The other thing I cared about was forecasting the usage limits. Existing tools do burn-rate projections (ccusage) or percentile heuristics…

I hit my Claude Code usage limit yesterday in the middle of regular work. Not doing anything unusual - just a couple of coding sessions. It felt like it came out of nowhere. Then today Anthropic announced they're tightening 5-hour limits during peak hours. It feels like a rug pull is coming and we're all just supposed to accept "you've used too much" with no explanation of what "too much" means. Usage limits have always been opaque. A vague percentage bar. No dollar figure. No formula. No way to plan your work around it. So I built a proxy that captures the rate-limit headers Anthropic sends…

I built a collection of professional slash commands for Anthropic's Claude Code that provide structured workflows for common software development tasks. These commands are directly inspired by and adapted from Anthropic's own claude-code-best-practices (https://www.anthropic.com/engineering/claude-code-best-practices) documentation, translating their recommendations into executable workflows. The suite includes commands for: • Comprehensive code reviews with security and performance analysis • End-to-end feature development with planning, implementation, and testing •…

Anthropic recently released a new model called Claude. As I was unable to access this model, I noticed a lot of discussions on Twitter regarding comparisons and use cases of Claude and ChatGPT. To keep track of these conversations, I created a repository that compiles information on the following topics: * Comparisons between Claude and ChatGPT * Use cases * Limitations of Claude Check it out and please create a bug/PR if more threads can be added: https://github.com/taranjeet/awesome-claude

Hey HN, I built ShadowGit a while back to automatically commit code every minute to a hidden git repo (.shadowgit.git). Original goal was to easily rollback when AI tools break things. But I discovered something interesting: this minute-by-minute history is perfect context for AI assistants. So I built an MCP server that lets Claude/Cursor query this history using native git commands. The results surprised me: Before: Claude would read my entire codebase repeatedly, burning 15,000+ tokens to debug issues. After: Claude runs `git log --grep="drag"` finds when drag-and-drop worked,…

Hey HN, I noticed there are 1,000+ MCP skills on GitHub with zero way for creators to charge for them. So I built Agent37. Selling Claude skills today means asking customers to download your skill, set up Claude Code on their laptops, configure MCP servers, and pray it works. No trial, no updates, often you're just handing over the source. Agent37 lets creators upload a skill, share a link, and anyone can try it instantly (no Claude account needed). Built-in Stripe, creators keep 80%. Looking for feedback on the approach. Would you use something like this?

Hey HN! I built a native macOS menu bar app that shows your Claude Code usage limits at a glance — no more getting rate-limited mid-flow. It reads your OAuth token from macOS Keychain, polls the Anthropic usage API, and displays your 5-hour and 7-day utilization as a clean progress bar right in your menu bar. Zero token consumption. Built with Swift + SwiftUI. MIT licensed. https://github.com/puq-ai/claude-meter

I reviewed Anthropic's newly released Claude Code and compared it to Aider. CC has a great design, and I'll be using it sometimes (especially in large code bases), but I'm sticking with Aider as my primary tool for now. If you use LLM coding tools on the command line, then I hope you'll find this useful!

Hi all, our open-source Python library for fast, quality development with LLMs has added support for using Anthropic’s Claude 3 models and its XML function calling capabilities, including nested schemas and def/ref resolution. Example: https://github.com/Mirascope/mirascope/blob/main/examples/extracting_tasks_with_claude_haiku.py Repo: https://github.com/Mirascope/mirascope In the example we create a `TaskExtractor` class that can extract a fairly complex, nested `TaskDetails` schema. Haiku does a fantastic job extracting the…

I’ve been exploring LLM-driven developer workflows and built a demo where Claude Code acts like a Replit-style frontend for infrastructure. - You write a prompt in Claude - Claude generates a workload spec - Humanitec receives the spec and deterministically deploys infra to GCP (via Terraform) - App is up in under 1 minute — no pipelines, no DevOps tickets The backend is policy-enforcing and built for enterprise use cases (used by large orgs like Apple, ABB, etc.), but the flow feels like magic for devs or agents. demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvx9CgBSgG0 Repo:…

Hi HN, I built AgenTank. It is a small game where an AI agent writes the logic for your tank. You watch it fight, give strategic feedback, let the agent update the tank code, and send it back into battle. I have run 1,000+ battles on my own tank and spent about $200 in Claude credits improving it. The part I enjoy most is not just winning, but watching the tank make visible mistakes, thinking of a better strategy, and seeing whether Claude can turn that into better code.

Hey guys, I built this platform out to allow users to passively earn crypto for non-intrusive highly targetted ads. One of the things that's awesome is that there's an option to receive payouts in Anthropic's pre-IPO stock (via PreStocks on Solana). So you can use Claude Code and receive Anthropic stock . Let me know what you guys think. Feedback is welcome and please give it a try to install.

Claude Code is amazing for individuals but terrible for teams. I spent the last six months building my perfect mix of MCP servers, subagents, commands and skills. Claude Code writes 100% of the code now, but sharing this with my team? Painful. 1. Blog posts and workshops don't work (and don't scale) 2. Committing tools to N repos means N PRs. A tool changes? N more PRs. 3. Same tools, different files or folders for each AI assistant; not everyone uses Claude Code It is like 1999 all over again; FTPing files up to prod and versioning with ".bak" suffixes. So I built sx. It is your team's…

Claude Code is amazing at writing code, but it will happily build from under-specified requirements, implement the same thing different ways, and fail to write great tests unless you specifically ask it to. Prawduct is a set of prompts, skills, hooks, and artifact templates that help focus Claude Code on product development rather than code development. You can start from something a simple as "make a website with a scientific calculator" or as complex as "create a MMO with clients for iOS, Android, and web". You can specify as much or as little arch standards or implementation details as…
