Hey HN, if you are a developer you will probably know the following situation: You are going to a certain project directory and then you are searching for this one command which was specific to this project or you just want to go through the last commands you typed into your shell while you were working in this directory. If you ever had this problem and are using Zsh, you should check out this zsh plugin I wrote: https://github.com/tymm/directory-history Let me know what you think!

deff is an interactive Rust TUI for reviewing git diffs side-by-side with syntax highlighting and added/deleted line tinting. It supports keyboard/mouse navigation, vim-style motions, in-diff search (/, n, N), per-file reviewed toggles, and both upstream-based and explicit --base/--head comparisons. It can also include uncommitted + untracked files (--include-uncommitted) so you can review your working tree before committing. Would love to get some feedback

I built GRSH because I wanted a modern, memory-safe shell that feels native to FreeBSD but works seamlessly on macOS. While there are many shells out there, GRSH is my take on a minimal, fast, and secure command interpreter written entirely in Rust. It's designed for users who want the safety guarantees of Rust without the overhead of more bloated alternatives. I'm currently working on the official FreeBSD port. I’d love to get feedback on the shell's behavior and performance from the community. Github: https://github.com/antoniomalara301289/grsh

Hi everyone I just created Deja, a tool that instead of only surfacing commands that start with what you've typed, suggest what you actually want to run. I built it because I was using zsh autosuggestions but got tired of typing the same commands again and again. So Deja predicts your next command from your history. Let me know what you think

z.sh and zoxide (and other frecency-based directory jumpers) couple score decay to wall-clock time. After any extended period of inactivity (e.g. holidays) the first directories visited on return dominate the ranking regardless of prior history, and the tool effectively has to relearn ranking from subsequent navigation. The underlying issue is that wall-clock time during shell inactivity carries no information about directory relevance. ze.sh replaces wall-clock time with an event clock that advances one tick per cd action. Scores decay only while navigation is occurring. Inactive periods…
