24 alternatives to Ezno, a type checker for JavaScript and optimiser for React

Introducing Ezno and the current state of the project.

Ezno is a type checker and optimizer designed for JavaScript and React codebases. It performs static analysis to catch type errors before runtime and optimizes React code for better performance. Developers working with… Below are 24 products that do a similar job, ranked by how close each is in meaning and then by launch-day votes. Tenno is a web app that lets you create Markdown documents that can include computational cells. You can think of it as a mix of Word and Excel, some sort of "literate programming" environment. This is still an early version but I wanted to get some feedback from HN on what could be nice features to add. Check out the Docs and examples page, it has a ton of (in my humble opinion) cool stuff! Why did I build this? I was building some estimation for cloud costs in Google Sheets and I quickly ended up with a mess. I realized that if I wanted to analyze how a certain thing changes wrt to…

I made this because building UIs in a lexical medium like code is super annoying. I have to pre-render what I’m making in my head, and then jump between the browser and IDE to test. I was inspired by the developer console in chrome and safari since I end up editing css there because it’s ironically more convenient. Hope it’s useful!

Hello, folks. I'm Jiang, the author of ESInfer. I love writing Javascript because it has a prosperous ecosystem and is quick to get my hands dirty. However, sometimes it's painful when the flow is not fast to follow due to the lack of a type system. To solve this, I wrote ESInfer, a statical inference tool, to automatically type check and generate type annotations for Javascript. It works with pure Javascript without any add-ons to the language or user-space code and supports highly dynamic features, such as the modification of prototypes. It is still in the very early stage, which offers…

Hi HN! I created this lib in the need of a simple and tiny framework to easily do AJAX-style navigation / replacement of fragments in the page, in a web application. For people who don't want to use client-side-rendering and complex frameworks à la React, there are nowadays a few "HTML-over-the-wire" libraries, like HTMX, Unpoly or this super-tiny one Swap.js :) One other key thing is that no external tool is needed: no bundler, no webpack, no TypeScript compiler, no minification needed. Just write HTML, JS (+ your preferred server-side language: PHP, Python, etc.) and it works. The…

Hi! I made a React compatibility library for a Virtual DOM library (https://github.com/aidenybai/million). The idea is to have much faster rendering (a compiler optimizes virtual DOM beforehand) while ensuring the same developer experience React provides. This is very, VERY early stage, so be prepared for weird bugs / plugin incompatibility / etc. If you have any suggestions, I'd be more than happy if you replied in a comment with it! You can spin up the demo here >> https://stackblitz.com/github/aidenybai/million-react-compat
