Hi folks, We worked hard over the last couple of weeks to build a new package manager for Kubernetes that makes it super simple to install packages and solves some of the shortcomings of helm (dependency management, multi namespace installations, a GUI and CLI as first class interfaces). Hi, we are a small team from Vienna and today released our first version of a Package Manager similar to apt, Homebrew, or Chocolatey, but specifically tailored for Kubernetes environments and cloud-native software. Originally, we wanted to contribute to the Kubernetes ecosystem with a different idea; however, after talking to the community, we uncovered that package management is an even bigger problem at the moment. This is a project I've wanted to write for a long time now. I really love the ideas from Nix and I still have a ton of respect for the project, but Nix-the-language never felt intuitive to me and I wanted something with more approachable tooling (although this was circa 2016, so I'm sure Nix has improved a lot since then too-- that was before Flakes were around!) A large part of our (Real Kinetic's) business is helping organizations implement platform engineering, but we've found the existing tooling to be lacking. For IaC, Terraform state becomes a pain because TF treats infrastructure as "one-shot" commands. The Kubernetes controller model provides a nicer approach to managing infrastructure, but the tooling here is also lacking. For configuration management, Helm just doesn't really scale with complexity, nor does Kustomize. Started this because configuring Fabric8 for EKS was driving me crazy. Building a client that auto-detects your environment (IAM roles, profiles, local configs) so you don't have to wire it all up manually. Still pretty early and building for EKS right now. Long way to go, but putting it out there early to see if others have hit the same problems or want to help shape where this goes.

Hi All, Recently I've been using Claude Code a lot for debugging cluster issues and I realized I was performing similar tasks repeatedly so I decided to package them up into skills so I could call them up more easily (e.g. `/investigate`, `/audit-security`, `/audit-outdated`).
