Dear HN, My wife and I both love nature and have always wanted a Pokémon go style app, to collect and learn about different species we find. All the usual species identifying apps were didn’t feel fun enough, so we designed and built one together! Would love for you guys to give it a try and share any thoughts you have.

TGIFound (http://tgifound.com) is a community-based service that lets people report found items and search for them by location. If you see a lost item on the street you can report it on the mobile app or on the website along with the GPS coordinates, which lets people search for items for a given location. I've recently been working with real-time geoJSON data at a rate of 50+ queries per second. SaaS solutions can be prohibitively expensive at this rate, thus, I created go-reverse-geo. Data is pulled from geonames.org and is stored in MongoDB (a requirement of my current project). It is very much a work-in-progress (I wrote it this morning). Hope someone finds it useful. https://paranoia.dev/vivi/go-reverse-geo
