Mom Clock▲742Hi HN, I’ve tried dozens of reminder and habit apps over the years. They’re all polite. Gentle. Easy to ignore. So I built something intentionally different. Mom Clock is a reminder app that behaves more like a strict parent than a productivity coach: – no snoozing – no “later” – optional app blocking using Screen Time APIs The idea came from my own behavior: I don’t need motivation — I need enforcement. This is not for everyone. Some people hate it. Some people love it. I’m genuinely curious where HN stands on this tradeoff: comfort vs. effectiveness. Happy to answer questions about: –…

Hey HN! I built StretchMyTimeOff as a quick experiment using Cursor (Anysphere's AI code editor) and GPT-4o to see how far AI could go in building a simple, functional site. What it does: The site helps you get the most out of your vacation by suggesting optimal days to take off around national holidays, maximizing long breaks with minimal vacation days, anywhere in the world and for any calendar year. It's an idea I've had for a while, and building the algorithm with GPT was a fun challenge. Any feedback or ideas I'm all ears :)

Griply 2026▲226Hi HN, I’m Amber, product designer, founder and someone who’s tried pretty much every productivity app out there. I always loved setting goals, but I kept getting frustrated by how disconnected everything felt. Long-term goals lived in Notion, habits were in a habit app, daily tasks in another and I constantly lost sight of the bigger picture. So I decided to build something I wished existed: Griply - a goal planner that connects your vision, goals, habits, and tasks into one system. We started as a native iOS app and later added Mac, Windows, and Web. After getting lots of feedback from…

Howdy HN, As a small side project, I built a small app to share weekly time schedules. It's been useful for me to help schedule meeting and share semester schedules with friends. I hope some others find some use with it. I have a few more simple ideas to implement with it, and any suggestions are encouraged. Thank you!

Hey HN! I made TimeAnt because my dad needed a simple way to track his time at work and he didn’t like the other apps out there because they were too complicated or had way too many features. So, I built an app that just does the basics: track work hours, meetings, breaks, lunch and optionally lets you add notes - and that's it. It’s totally free, works both online and offline, and doesn’t require an account (but you can create one if you want). The goal was to keep it super simple and let you focus on tracking time without all the fluff. It also gave me a chance to learn Swift and build my…

Movely▲20Oli here, I’m 32, working remotely and spending 10h a day sitting at my desk, This is slowly but surely killing me (and you), It kills my body but also my productivity so here is my attempt to fix this: Connect your Calendar, Movely will find free slots and adds 5min micro breaks in it (Strength, Mobility, Reduce eye strain or stress), Every Sunday night I’m running a task that will create the sessions for next week based on your available slots, My stack if you wanna know: * Monorepo: Nx (web / backend / marketing + shared libs) * Front: Next.js, Tailwind, Radix UI, Zustand *…
