Because I shoot in JPEG+RAW, my workflow looks like me going through my JPEG images and then eliminating the JPEGs I don't like afterwards in addition to their corresponding RAWs. Fujifilm cameras make really beautiful JPEGs thanks to their Film Simulation feature (where they mimic the look of certain analogue film types), but sometimes I want to do things for which you need the RAW files (like sharpening or local contrast effects or white balance fixes or whatever else would suffer under 8-bit/channel and/or JPEG artifacts). darktable is my RAW editor of choice, but it doesn't make your edits look like the out-of-camera JPEGs by default. Hi HN, author here. SHARP is Apple's recent single-image 3D Gaussian splatting model (https://arxiv.org/abs/2512.10685). Their reference code is PyTorch + a pretty heavy pipeline; I wanted to see if it could run in a browser with no server hop, so I exported the predictor to ONNX and ran it via onnxruntime-web with the WebGPU EP. What works: drop in an image, get a .ply you can download or preview live, all on your machine — your image never leaves the tab. I'm not the author of the app (nor i have any connection with them, just a random user). iA Writer and Writer Pro aren't well suited for me as a developer. They feel quite "strange" to me. Mou is a good option (free too) but still missing some features. So far this, this editor is the most complete user-friendly. Hope it helps!

This is an upgrade of a tool I created 15 years ago in Python to learn OOP and solve some inadequacies in the HDR stacking tools I could find at the time. The problem was, none of them were really "batch friendly". None of them properly preserved the metadata I wanted them to stuff into the output file. There were probably some other reasons also, I just can't remember them now. It got the job done, but was very slow. I got to pondering the quickest way to save a random image so I could get to it on all of my devices, got a wee bit carried away with the technical possibilities, and this was the result. I had 14,000 photos sitting on a drive and wanted an excuse to play with local vision models and Elixir/Phoenix. I originally tried to get LLaVA to tell me if a photo was 'good' or matched my style, but quickly learned that LLMs have terrible taste. I ended up demoting the LLM to just extract metadata, and built a custom CLIP/Ridge Regression pipeline to actually learn my preferences based on how I rate things. Last year, I had 2000+ photos from my wedding to edit. The shots were great, but the lighting was different in every room. Some photos were too dark, and some were too yellow. I wanted all the wedding photos to have the same look before I shared them with my family. I tried using Lightroom.
