    I wanted to see how fast an isolated code sandbox could start if I never had to boot a fresh VM. So instead of launching a new microVM per execution, I boot Firecracker once with Python and numpy already loaded, then snapshot the full VM state. Every execution after that creates a new KVM VM backed by a `MAP_PRIVATE` mapping of the snapshot memory, so Linux gives me copy-on-write pages automatically.     Hypersplit is like Neal's Infinite Craft but turned upside down. Instead of crafting your way up from the four elements, you start big and go small, down to quarks. It's using GPT-4 to split the words, but a big difference from Infinite Craft is that I can precalculate the possible paths since they are limited (sooner or later you hit a quark or a loop).     We have built Tarit as a hypervisor built from ground up for running AI agent and RL environments. It is based on rust-vmm and can be used as a replacement for firecracker. Firecracker was built to serve a different need of primarily serverless compute and hence does not have primitives like live snapshots without pausing the VM operations.
