Products that do what Interact Javascript Library does
Hey Guys, Would love some feedback on a javascript library that I am working on. It's designed to ease the pain with implementing touch support (and maintaining mouse support also) when implementing interactive web apps / demos. http://sidelab.github.com/interact/ I'm basically re-implementing (and improving in the process) the interaction handling I had built in Tile5 (HTML5 Mapping Library). For this reason, it has a slant towards interfaces that make use of panning and zoom, but you can definitely build applications that don't need these features. Thanks, Damon.

Hey everyone! Some time ago I was analyzing why React apps are so hard to optimize, and came to a conclusion that the lack of atomic updates is the culprit. I made an experimental library which basically updates everything in place directly in HTML. At some point I became aware that Solidjs exists, which is a very similar idea, but at the end of the day I realized my approach to API is quite different and warrants the existence of my library (my state primitive allows selector subscriptions, array iterators return a state primitive with the element, allowing to never re-render the whole…

Hey All, It isn't 100% complete yet, but I've decided to cut a 0.0.1 release for IntercoolerJS: http://intercoolerjs.org/ Intercooler is a Partial View Controller framework, where AJAX responses are HTML fragments (partials) that are swapped in for existing content, based roughly on the Basecamp 2 approach. If anyone else is interested in working on or using the project, please let me know: there is still tons of interesting work to do (e.g. back-button/pushState() support) I think that, for many apps, this might be a good way to get 90% of the UX advantages of a thick…

Hey HN! I built Experiment to solve a common frustration in LLM development: the lack of proper tools for prompt engineering experimentation. Here's what makes it different: Key Features: - Load and edit chat completion logs from CSV files - Fork and modify specific conversation entries - Run inference via Anthropic, Mistral, and OpenAI - Define custom tools using JSONSchema format - Visual tool usage analysis with collapsible, sorted key-value pairs - Full mobile support and available as installable PWA Technical Highlights: - Built with React using custom isomorphic architecture -…

Finally got a pet project of mine online: http://www.cacophonyjs.com/ http://github.com/jbroadway/cacophony And a basic demo video: http://www.cacophonyjs.com/examples/demo.html It's an interactive video player in Javascript using overlapping HTML5 video and canvas elements, a timeline, and a series of plugins to render visual effects or handle various forms of interactivity. Interactive elements can be mouse-based or text input, pulling data in from external sources, and saving input from viewers to change aspects of the video over time. I'm working on a video with this as an art project…
