Built a tool for transforming unstructured data into structured outputs using language models (with 100% adherence). If you're facing problems getting GPT to adhere to a schema (JSON, XML, etc.) or regex, need to bulk process some unstructured data, or generate synthetic data, check it out. We run our own tuned model (you can self-host if you want), so, we're able to have incredibly fine grained control over text generation. Hey HN! I'm working on OpenPipe, an open source prompt workshop. I wanted to share a feature we recently released: prompt translations. Prompt translations allow you to quickly convert a prompt between GPT 3.5, Llama 2, and Claude 1/2 compatible formats. The common case would be if you’re using GPT 3.5 in production and are interested in evaluating a Claude or Llama 2 model for your use case. Here's a screen recording to show how it works in our UI: https://twitter.com/OpenPipeLab/status/1687875354311180288 We’ve found a lot of our users are interested in…

I built this library and tool several years ago. Some event where I was a co-organizer needed pre-payment for the orders, and to make this easy without going the path of an online payment service, I sent automatic mails with payment QR codes included. The CLI also (by default) generates QR codes in the terminal, which I use often when an invoice needs to be paid: copy all necessary fields as CLI flags, generate the QR in the terminal, scan with the phone, double check everything and go! Maybe paying should not be this easy...

If you just want to use it, try here - https://pdf2md.trieve.ai . I think the LLM's are astoundingly good at converting complex powerpoint style infographics. I wouldn't normally think folks on HN would find this interesting as the general concept has been posted about already in the past few months. We were heavily inspired by Zerox[1]. However, the stack we went with was fun and over-engineered which is more likely to create interesting discussion. We use all the same tools at Trieve (our main product), but wanted to see if they would be a good fit for something that needed to…

I recently got fired and decided to channel my energy into something productive. Over two weeks, I spent 16-hour days building a tool that converts Australian bank PDFs into clean, reliable CSVs, tailored specifically for Aussie banks. Most Aussie banks only provide statements as a PDF, and generic converters often fail: columns drift, multi-line descriptions break parsing, headers shift. Existing tools don’t handle it well and I wanted a tool that just works. To get started, I used my own bank statements to build the initial parsers. There was a "duh" moment when I realised how hard it is…

SasaSavic.ca recently launched a public cryptographic timestamping service designed to remain verifiable even in a post-quantum world. The platform uses SasaSavic Quantum Shield™, a dual-signature protocol combining classical and post-quantum security. Each submitted SHA-256 hash is: • Dual-signed with ECDSA P-256 and ML-DSA-65 (per NIST FIPS 204) • Anchored to the Bitcoin blockchain via OpenTimestamps • Recorded in a public, verifiable daily ledger API (beta, no auth required): https://sasasavic.ca/beta-api/ Example curl request: curl -X POST…

I got tired of copy-pasting arXiv PDFs / HTML into LLMs and fighting references, TOCs, and token bloat. So I basically made gitingest.com but for arxiv papers. You can just append "2md" to any arxiv URL (with HTML support), and you'll be given a clean markdown version, and the ability to trim what you wish very easily (ie cut out references, or appendix, etc.)

I have been working on a project that has multiple repos, all of which have to convert between multiple map coordinate types, so I made an NPM module that allows you to parse and convert between Decimal Degrees, Degrees-Minutes, and Degrees-Minutes-Seconds coordinate types. Niche? Yes. Useful? Also yes (I hope)!
