Hello everyone, I got laid off last year and during the job hunt, I kept running into ghost jobs, these listings that never lead anywhere. Super frustrating. After some point, I started tracking company behavior across job boards. It snowballed into a little web app where you can actually see how companies are hiring — or pretending to. It's free, early stage, UI is a bit rough, but here’s what some info it shows per company: -Job boards they post on -ATS system they use -Median salary by role -Post frequency + how old the listings are -Skills and degree requirements -Track all existing…

I have some friends who were laid off and are on the job hunt. We were all quite surprised to learn that LinkedIn does not have a "view jobs only at companies where I have connections", so I built https://jobsbyreferral.com/ It's powered by https://rapidapi.com/letscrape-6bRBa3QguO5/api/jsearch, which is a little pricey, so I'm trying to decide whether to put more effort into the project (I'd have to charge _something_ to offset the costs).

^ That's what our team said to me initially but we think it's pretty chill now. We built a job search tool that uses investor software to help you discover the most exciting companies to work for right now. Free this week so that you guys can try it out before we hard launch next week (paywall is down). Feedback is our oxygen: What can we do better? Are you gonna give us money? Why do you hate the design?

There are existing HN job aggregators, but I thought we could take it a step further. Inspired by an insightful comment on a previous thread (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=36163021), I built a tool that aggregates job postings and intelligently categorizes them based on user-specific preferences: * Country and remote work preferences * Employer type (e.g., startup, corporation, government) * Industry * Technologies used * Role type (developer, architect, product owner, etc.) * Salary range (where available) One of the superpowers of LLMs is reformatting information from…

Hi HN, I got tired of the existing means of finding jobs, so I created a platform that searches company job portals directly for the latest job postings. Originally it was meant for just software engineers, but I've expanded to a larger variety of careers. It's entirely free to use, you can create an account to keep track of the jobs you apply to with the job tracker. I'd love to hear what you all think, and what your experience has been as a job seeker. https://radar.jobs Thanks, Ross

I compiled a list of companies that use easy-to-apply job platforms like Lever and Greenhouse, which make it 10x less painful and faster to apply than sites like Workday, Taleo, and other outdated sites. If you're job hunting, be sure to check it out and save yourself the headache of having to create a new account to apply to a job.

When we are looking for remote jobs we generally browse job postings in remote job boards. In doing so we miss some opportunities which are not posted in those job boards. So if you are actively looking for a remote job you should also checkout career pages of companies which recruit remote talent. I have compiled a list of such companies and tagged each company with remote locations they are hiring for. Those who are looking for remote job do checkout this page. https://remotejobhuntbuddy.com/blog/remote-companies-list-a-to-c.html

I built a live interactive map that shows where top AI companies hire around the world. I collected this data for a hackathon project. Many ATS providers have a public API that you can hit with the slug of the companies to get open jobs. The hardest part was finding the companies. I tried Firecrawl but it returned around 200 companies per provider which wasn’t enough for me. Then, I tried SERPAPI but it was expensive. I ended up using SearXNG to discover companies by ATS type and fetch their job postings. This produced a large dataset of 200k+ jobs (I only use a subset as it would have taken…
