The video demo runs a 7b Model on a normal gaming GPU. I think it already works quite well (accounting for the limited hardware power). :)

Hi HN, I’m Joe. My friends Matthew, Jake and I are building Luminal (https://luminalai.com/), a GPU compiler for automatically generating fast GPU kernels for AI models. It uses search-based compilation to achieve high performance. We take high level model code, like you'd have in PyTorch, and generate very fast GPU code. We do that without using LLMs or AI - rather, we pose it as a search problem. Our compiler builds a search space, generates millions of possible kernels, and then searches through it to minimize runtime. You can try out a demo in `demos/matmul` on mac to…

No gc, No goroutines, Produces small binaries while using the unmodified official go toolchain, and comes with complete Web SDK (generated from w3c/webref). We are building `pcz` to provide a reimagination of Go the language, in an effort to make it suitable for all kinds of programming tasks, and currently you can use it to build efficient web applications in Go using the generated Web SDK (as shown with the live web demo[1]). The journey is just starting, any suggestions? or any critics? [1]: https://primecitizens.github.io/livedemos/10-plat-web/

Try it out! https://glhf.chat/ Hey HN! We’ve been working for the past few months on a website to let you easily run (almost) any open-source LLM on autoscaling GPU clusters. It’s free for now while we figure out how to price it, but we expect to be cheaper than most GPU offerings since we can run the models multi-tenant. Unlike Together AI, Fireworks, etc, we’ll run any model that the open-source vLLM project supports: we don’t have a hardcoded list. If you want a specific model or finetune, you don’t have to ask us for it: you can just paste the Hugging Face link in and…

Hi HN, we built world-model-optimizer, an open source tool to continually improve a specialized model for an agent. It does this by simulating production tool responses through text world modeling (similar to QwenAgentWorld, summary here https://x.com/silennai/status/2073887455884058814). We can then use this to train a router for frontier, OS, and local models (use defaults or pick which ones to optimize against). wmo ingests agent traces, builds the simulation, embeds the traces, runs different models you choose against the simulation scenarios, and then uses a KNN…

https://github.com/gugarosa/opytimizer Did you ever reach a bottleneck in your computational experiments? Are you tired of selecting suitable parameters for a chosen technique? If yes, Opytimizer is the real deal! This package provides an easy-to-go implementation of meta-heuristic optimizations. From agents to search space, from internal functions to external communication, we will foster all research related to optimizing stuff. Use Opytimizer if you need a library or wish to: - Create your optimization algorithm; - Design or use pre-loaded optimization tasks; -…

I’m tired of getting screwed by game backends like Microsoft PlayFab and Unity Gaming Services. To get a simple cross-platform friends system, we’ve bent over backward fighting against their limited APIs to jerry-rig the behavior we need. These backends “solved” their platform’s rigidity by tacking on a clunky scripting layer [1] [3] with a proprietary KV database [2] [4] (look ma, no transactions!). They proceed to claim you can build a LiveOps game on this rubbish without testing, database migrations, monitoring, BI tooling, etc. We got fed up and built an open-source backend engine as an…

Hi HN, I'm Efe from Secondlaw AI. We are building physics-informed large AI models. Currently, we are focusing on weather modelling. To benchmark SOTA, we had to build a forecasting infra for all available large weather models and we could not find a solid tooling to do so, so we built Skyrim. Within <5 mins and <5 LOC you can run forecasts on par with global weather models that are run on 100K+ CPU HPCs! We are implementing more models & fine-tuning capabilities. Let us know if anything more we can add, also happy to answer any questions!

Same features like statistics (time played, times launched, times crashed, and so on) per game is available in the app.

I built LunarBasic because I wanted a modern recreation of BlitzBasic from back in the day. I wanted it to have good step debugging features, and I wanted it to compile down to a native binary with no external dependencies. I do know there's an open source BlitzBasic out there but I wanted something simpler and more concise. It does have a "pro" feature set, but for the foreseeable future, anyone joining up will have the pro version in perpetuity (eg I'm not trying to sell anything here). It's early (v0.8.0). Would love feedback on the language design and compiler output, especially from…
