I needed to get out of localhost:3000 land and ship a (somewhat functional) web app. Anyways, I built Current Ride as a place to put your bucket list items out in the open. The goal is really to inspire the community to do more things! I wrote this over the last couple of weeks using Rails 3, Twilio and a variety of Gems, putting in about 2 hours per day. I'd love any feedback from the HN community on any aspects of the site (design, API construction, documentation, marketing, pricing which is TBD). So a while ago I was thinking it would be neat to build a site that had the most absolute utility. The idea I came up with was a site to store those little protips that are super useful, if you know them ahead of time. This is a side project that I have been hacking on for the last two months. It started out as trying to find a better way to see my girlfriend, as we go to universities in separate cities. Long time listener, first time caller. I am coming up to the eight-month mark in my "Heads Down, Learn Programming" experiment. This is my first app, an open source Magic the Gathering sealed deck generator.
