I built this site as a quick test if a time boxed social media experience feels better than an endless one. Yesterday I decided I wanted to experiment with different ways of reading HN. After considering a few options, I settled on a Mac app and spent a couple of hours planning/sketching on paper. I had this domain for some time and I never got around to make a project for it. This last weekend I finally managed to find a few hours to work on it and I've just finished putting the code into production. I love the look of HN on Christmas Day, but I never feel like I get quite enough of it in just one day.
