Products that do what Octarchive – Back up all repos on a GitHub account locally does
Hey HN! I just released Octarchive, a simple tool to back up all repos on a GitHub/Gitea account to a local folder written in Go. If you're worried about loosing your FLOSS work, but are can't keep up with manually mirroring all the repositories, this might be the tool you're looking for. I'd love to get your feedback :)

I’ve been in the MLOps space for ~10 years, and data is still the hardest unsolved open problem. Code is versioned using Git, data is stored somewhere else, and context often lives in a 3rd location like Slack or GDocs. This is why we built XetHub, a platform that enables teams to treat data like code, using Git. Unlike Git LFS, we don’t just store the files. We use content-defined chunking and Merkle Trees to dedupe against everything in history. This allows small changes in large files to be stored compactly. Read more here:…

In essence, given that you've opened a GitHub repo (there are ~225k of the more popular ones indexed as of now), you can replace "github" with "libhunt" within the URL, and you will find the top alternatives and related projects. For example, here are three…

I started this as a weekend project and posted it on HN 5 years ago. 300,000 users later, I just released v4 today. Octotree [1] gives GitHub a sidebar that improves file navigation and code/pull request review. Works on Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Safari. Any comment or feedback is appreciated.
