I'm working on a GPS track visualizer for quite some time. It shines in hilly and mountaineous terrain (where a 3D view makes more sense), but it also offers quite a lot of Strava-like features (statistics etc.). You can upload your GPX and FIT files manually, or sync directly with Garmin, Coros and Polar. See https://cubetrek.com for the live app and check out some examples there. It's free and opens source. Also, anyone who likes to work with 3D visualizations (especially Babylon.js), let me know if you like to help polish this thing further.

I recently added a Segments feature to the Hangtime mountain biking app for Android and IOS. If you are familiar with Strava’s segments, this new feature works much the same. For example, you can add a segment to an existing recorded ride by simply defining a start and end point for the segment. Once the segment is created, it will match any new rides, and optionally “back match” all previous rides. If a segment matches a ride, you you will see your time to complete that segment as well as your personal record (PR) and king of the mountain (KOM) for that segment. The KOM represents the best…

I've been building this for a few years under the name "Statistics for Strava" but I renamed it to Dreeve recently because of Strava's recently changed API usage terms. They paywalled their API. You point it at your activity files (FIT/TCX/GPX) or connect a Strava account, and it gives you a dashboard with segment efforts, gear and maintenance tracking, a heatmap, monthly calendar view, milestones and a year-in-review. It runs as a Docker container, stores everything in SQLite, and nothing leaves your machine. Stack is PHP 8.5 + Symfony, SQLite, Docker Compose. Simple,…

I'm working on https://cubetrek.com, a web app to manage, visualize and compare your running, hiking, mountainbiking, skiing... activities. Some features include: a github-style calendar heatmap, 3D visualization of tracks (especially useful for hill climbs and mountaineous terrain in general), a world map displaying all your activities at once. Excluded features: although you can share yoir tracks to the world, should you choose so, there are no friends, no likes, no comments, i.e. none of that social networking stuff. And no ads. Any feedback is appreciated, let me know what you…

As a hiker and (ski)mountaineer I've always been a bit disappointed of how most apps fail to properly depict the topography while analyzing GPS tracks. (I know that Strava offers some kind of 3D view by now, but I still wanted to build my own thing) That's why I started working on https://cubetrek.com It's still very experimental, but you can give it test-drive now. Any feedback appreciated. It essentially renders your GPS Track as a 3D model within the topography. As an example, here's the Bishorn, a 4000 m peak in Switzerland: https://cubetrek.com/view/5807…
