We built phaxio to be an awesome faxing API that developers would want to use. We released the send arm of phaxio a couple of weeks ago and today we're releasing the receiving side. With phaxio you don't need to rent a phone line or pay exorbitant prices. phaxio is 7c per page, pay-as-you-go. To receive faxes, drop a phaxio barcode onto any of the first five pages of your document and we'll take care of the rest. Hey all, I just wanted to share a project I've been working on for the past month. After years of heavy frameworks, I really like the idea of using htmx, but it’s a little too low level for me and needs a thin layer above it to facilitate things like components, better syntax with complex JS inside of an attribute, etc To try and solve this problem with a very minimal stack (golang + htmx) that I've been really enjoying, I'm building this project to cater to my needs and was thinking it would be useful for other developers.

Hey HN, I built an alternative to Google translate that's fast, accurate, and 1/30th the price. 20+ supported languages, not billed until 100k tokens, and already used thousands of times with real language learning users. The landing page has a demo for you to test performance yourself for free with no card required. (Also landing page says 1/13 the price because had to account for all 3 big names, with varying prices each). I’ve always found it funny how simple feedback widgets end up as $20–$30/month products. The tech is dead simple, infra is cheap, and most of us here could rebuild one in a weekend. So as a “principle experiment” I built my own today as a side project and priced it at 1 dollar. Just because if something is cheap to run and easy to replicate, it should be priced accordingly, and it’s also fun marketing. 1$ feedback tool. Shipped today, got the first users/moneys today, writing this post today. Side Sunday project, then back to the main product tomorrow.

Mintlify Pro costs 250 USD per month. We wanted something similar (AI assistant and nice UI), but fully customizable and cheap. So we built GibsonAI docs in 1 day for about 50 USD. How we did it: Used Lovable for UI components + rendering MDX beautifully (Markdown stored in GitHub). Built an AI Agent for docs using Agno + Memori → personalized Q&A and “smart educator.” Stored embeddings in LanceDB and metadata in our SQL DB.
