Hi HN, I'm Matt, founder of MCPJam. We're building open source dev tools for MCP server builders. There’s been a lot of debate around skills vs MCP. From what I see, there’s a growing trend of people using skills paired with MCP servers. Skills teach the agent how to use the MCP server tools and guide the agent to completing complex workflows. We’re also seeing Anthropic encourage the use of Skills + MCP in their products. Anthropic recently launched the connectors marketplace. A good example of this is the Figma connector + skills. The Figma skill teaches the agent how to use the Figma MCP…

Hello hackers, I just launched a new MVP It's a todo app using mapped todo lists instead of regular lists ! https://ymappr.com It's bugged and very beta, but I released this complex MVP in only two weeks ! (+ made while relocating from Thaïland to Vietnam, and even while being sick). Needless to say, despite the raw interface, a lot of efforts was put into this. Hope I can give you a feel of what the final product will look like, and I would appreciate some feedback In the meantime, take care! baz

I’ve been building and using agents heavily lately. The Model Context Protocol ecosystem is growing insanely fast, but discovering and configuring new tools is still highly manual. Every time I needed to connect an agent to a new service, I had to browse registries, figure out the transport type, identify required env vars, and manually update "mcp.json" files. So I built MCPfinder. It aggregates servers from the official MCP registry, Glama, and Smithery (around 25,000 combined entries) into a deduplicated, ranked catalog. But the real twist is the DX: MCPfinder is itself an MCP server :D…

Hi folks, I’m one of the maintainers and co-founder of the Go OSS project Permify (https://github.com/Permify/permify), an open-source authorization infrastructure inspired by Google Zanzibar. I would like to share a post where we aimed to provide a brief overview of how we integrated WASM with Golang to provide a richer user experience in our open-source playground. You can use the playground to create and test any authorization logic in a browser. The playground has three main sections: Schema: to model your authorization logic through our domanin specific language we…

I built a simple multi user, multi board, Task/Kanban MCP server. I have been looking for something like this to manage development agents, but I wasn't seeing anything that felt like what I wanted. So I set down and decided to vibe code an alternative. While it was an experiment at first I have been using it daily for my personal development projects and I really think there are others who might be looking for exactly this. It's 100% a WIP, but it is also very usable. I have a demo instance running at https://mootasks.dev. If you find this interesting I'd appreciate a star.…

Hello HN, I built this because I wanted to give Claude Desktop access to my Notion workspace without running a flaky local Python script via stdio. This is a Node.js/Express implementation of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) that uses SSE (Server-Sent Events) for transport. It’s designed to be stateless and deployable as a container (I'm hosting it on Apify, but it works anywhere with Node). The Stack: TypeScript + Express @modelcontextprotocol/sdk Zod for input validation Bearer Auth for security (since it exposes an HTTP endpoint) Capabilities: It allows the LLM to search pages,…

We built a no/low-code tool that lets you spin up MCPs from a single prompt. MCPs give LLMs access to tools, data, and actions—but they’re hard to build and deploy. Our tool abstracts that: describe what you want, and it auto-generates and hosts the necessary components. No UI flows, no manual chaining—just prompt and go. Examples: • Pull email, parse a DocSend, check Reddit, draft reply • Extract data from a niche site + send a Slack alert • Combine tools without writing glue code Live demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uCiaQrgfoE Built over a weekend after getting…
