24 alternatives to Prime Number Grid Visualizer
Hello HN, I made this simple notepad for writing down whatever comes to mind. The goal is to force you to not get hung up on what you’ve already written. There’s no formatting, you can’t edit what you’ve typed, you can’t select text or move your caret around. There’s no backspace, delete, undo/redo, or paste. You can’t even see any words except the one you’re currently typing, and when you’re done with it, it fades away. The text is all still there, just invisible. You can save everything you’ve written as a .txt if you want, or just empty your thoughts and let them disappear forever.…

I launched NumPad v1 on here a few years ago, and back then it wasn't much more than a thin CodeMirror wrapper around the calculator engine I'd written. Now I've rewritten it as a PWA that supports multiple documents, persists them to IndexedDB, and has a syncing service for paying customers. Syncing is handled by Automerge[1] under the hood, which should make it relatively easy to get document sharing working too. [1] https://automerge.org/

ADS-B visualizer▲339I've created a web app for querying and visualization of ADS-B datasets: https://adsb.exposed/ Source code: https://github.com/ClickHouse/adsb.exposed/ The results significantly exceeded my expectations because the pictures are insanely beautiful, and the data is a treasure trove. It proves many statements that were not certain: - it is feasible to generate tiles by aggregation on a pixel level (instead of hexagons or rectangular grid); - it does not require JPG/PNG tiles - we can transfer raw bitmap data with zstd compression; - it is possible to…

Hi HN! I've found this visualization tool immensely helpful over the years for getting an intuition for how an LLM "sees" some piece of text, and with a bit of elbow grease decided to move all compute to client side so I could make it publicly available. I've found it particularly useful for - Understanding exactly how repetition and patterns affect a small LM's ability to predict correctly - Understanding different tokenization patterns and how it affects model output - Getting a general sense of how "hard" different prediction tasks are for GPT-style models Known problems (that I probably…

Edit: Thank you so much for taking a look at Seen! Yes, I know, it's really slow. And scrolling does not render notes instantly. And the title is a bit clickbait-y. I'll try my best to improve on it though. This is just a preview, the most basic version of Seen, and it's getting there. But, oh God, I almost got a heart attack when I opened up Vercel Analytics and saw ~1,500 page views, up from 10 or 12. Thank you again! It's such a weird experience showing something to the world for the first time as a 16-year-old and seeing so many people look at it. Hello HN! I've been working on creating…

Creating data visualizations with AI nowadays often means chat, chat and more chats...and writing long prompts can be annoying while they are also not the most effective way to describe your visualization designs. Data Formulator blends UI interaction with natural language so that you can create visualizations with AI much more effectively! You can: * create rich visualizations beyond initial datasets, where AI helps transforming and visualizing data along the way * iterate your designs and dive deeper using data threads, a new way to manage your conversation with AI.
