I've been working on Recall for a while now, it had some initial traction in the beginning which has since died down now. I am facing the inevitable question of whether to continue with the project. I just put out a new release and it would be helpful to get advice from the community on what they think of the idea and my implementation.

Hey HN, I am a student shipping apps in my free time. This is my 4th for the year! Non-fic books and podcasts have been part of my life for years now but I always struggled with remembering what I’ve read or listened to. I wanted it to stick even after years. My notes list grew large but I never really revisited them. That’s why I created GinkgoNotes. You can enter notes you want to recall and leave it to the app to create a personalised (based on spaced repetition) email schedule. That means you’ll get your notes emailed to you a couple of times exactly when you should read them again…

I've been working on this tool that lets you build a personal knowledge graph from articles, blog posts, podcasts, YouTube videos, and other content you find interesting online. You can safely forget everything and trust that Recall will resurface it when something new that is related comes up. Looking forward to your thoughts and feedback on how it could be improved! The original version of Recall was posted last year nov on HN: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=33425947 Since then I have pivoted to a browser extension.

I'm a long time lurker that recently quit my job to work on my own projects, a lot due to the inspiration from Hacker News. Now I have published my first serious project, an app for learning how to write Japanese characters. It's the app I always wanted but couldn't find when I was studying. It tries to be simple to use, you just start the quiz and go with the flow. There's no need to plan and manage your studies, and it uses spaced repetition for better retention.
