Hi, I don't like sports but I'm overweight and my doctor leaves me no choice but to start running a little bit.I read a lot of methods for those who, like me, can't even run for more than a minute so I made this little android app to motivate me. It's only a chronometer that alternates walking and running phases and uses text to speech (so I don't have to look at my phone while running). Hope this helps https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deliriom.runbabyrun

My cofounder and I have been working on a site called Fitocracy (www.fitocracy.com), which is a social game for fitness. The idea was very much inspired by our experiences growing up as nerds playing video games, later on discovering weightlifting, and drawing the parallel between working out and "leveling yourself up." XKCD has a pretty well known comic to this effect: http://xkcd.com/189/. I just launched my first-ever mobile app. It’s called STEPRACERS, a game where you compete with friends by tracking your steps. The idea came from someone close to me who completely changed their life by focusing on their health. Every night, they’d send me their step count - a small, daily ritual that became a powerful reminder of progress. So I turned it into a game. It’s fun. It’s simple. And it might just push you to hit your 10k steps a day.

Hello there, When I started training for the first marathon in my life, I download a 6 months training plan, printed it, pinned it to my fridge, and started circling each completed training day. Sadly, I would often get injured during my runs, which would lead to days or weeks without running, and a lot of changes to the plan I had printed. All running apps that I tried either forced me to follow their plan from the start (which I didn’t want to do because I was already in the middle of training) or made it extremely slow and difficult to add a custom plan. So I decided to create my own app,…
