Products that do what Taketake Pre-Launch does
http://taketake.com We are pre-launching taketake.com. Taketake helps you share news of your wants and haves with your friends and the world. Think check-in, but for things instead of places. People can request invitations to taketake, but no invitations are being sent out yet. We will begin to send invites later this month. Would love to hear what you guys think. Link: www.rise.ly Hey guys, We just finished building our site, and would be very grateful if some of you guys could test it out. Basically, Risely is curation platform that filters the noise from your social stream and only shows you stories on topics you care about. You just need to connect your social networks and select your topics. Trending stories get bigger as they get more popular. We are in private beta right now, but I have made arrangements and you will receive an invite 5 or 10 minutes after you signup. Thanks

We spent a lot of time working on this, including the demo, and we'd love some feedback. It might take a little bit of time to load if lots of people are trying the demo, so please try to be patient. We spent a lot of time to ensure you'll be impressed. Feel free to email us at tony or chuck @graphmuse.com if you'd like to discuss further!

A friend of mine and I were talking a while back and we realized that it would be cool to run some sweepstakes on Twitter. We put up a sign up page for a while to collect some emails and we got 200 sign ups. Once we received some sign ups we got together about 2 weekends ago and we put together a web application that lets people create sweepstakes on Twitter by counting the mentions and picking winners etc. I want to get your opinion on the site before we let those 200 people know that we are ready for beta. I would very much appreciate your feedback. Thanks in advance. The url is:…

Hey HN, I'm a longtime reader and this is my first Show HN (exciting!) It's a collaboration between me and two friends, and we're building this upon another app we made called EmailYak, an API to receive email. We're trying something new and releasing the documentation to an app while we're still building it. We'd love feedback. Do you belong to any of these categories? 1) You've built an app with two distinct groups of users (say, people with cars and those looking for a ride) and they were able to communicate with each other. Did you expose personal email addresses? Did you send…

Somebody said "Launch early, launch often", so I guess it's about time. WhatMyFriendsRead.com -- a social recommendation service for interesting links and content. Main idea: What is interesting for you is what your friends find interesting. I made a functional prototype hacked together in php+mysql with ugly html+css. But it works which is why I guess now would be a "launch early" moment. Or atleast show to a bunch of people for feedback :-) On the site your main source of links is from people you add as your friends or people you subscribe to. People you subscribe to provide you with links…

I built this app because I really enjoyed "Pulse" but I felt it lacked a few things. I wanted a web-based version, I wanted my news articles grouped together by topic, and I wanted an easy way to share with other people. It is early in the site's life, so somethings are missing, including the critical mobile app. If you have any feedback to give, it would be appreciated!

We just launched our startup tonight! It's called Fetchnotes, and it's a note-taking application for short notes like books to read, shopping lists and ideas. Check out our website at www.fetchnotes.com. We're on the web, Android, iPhone, Mac, Windows and Ubuntu — and you can even text or email in your notes. We were just covered in TechCrunch (http://tcrn.ch/IBfr9C), and we'd love for you to check it out and give us your feedback. You can send it to me (Alex Schiff) and my co-founder (Chase Lee) at [email protected], or use our UserVoice forum at fetchnotes.uservoice.com. Also, we're…

http://invincibilitee.com Me and my co-founder submitted an app for YC W11, with a web site that would help college graduates figure out what jobs they could get with their chosen degree. We got a rejection email, and already had this as a back-up idea in case we did get rejected. So in the month between rejection and today, we found a printer, found some graphic designers, and got enough done that we felt comfortable with it as a first iteration. I know there aren't so many non-web app startups on HN, but I thought y'all might like to see how 2 guys rebounded from YC rejection.
