Products that do what Tgfeed – convert public Telegram channels into RSS or Atom feeds does
I’m using it to read Telegram channels without ads and in the same place as everything else (Miniflux), hosting it on my home server. Maybe you’ll find it useful too. As a bonus, here’s a Solarized Light theme for Miniflux RSS reader I vibed with AI : https://gist.github.com/nDmitry/2c3ff859d50d7b15e2369a51e781...

Partially inspired by recent discussions on HN and other places. I've made a single-focus site to introduce your friends/colleagues/neighbours/family to RSS and web feeds. https://www.youneedfeeds.com/ The site is meant to give the elevator pitch for feeds, show a newbie what feeds are and how to use them, set them up with a reader, and give them some nice starter content if they want it. So much tastemaking and newsmaking power is concentrated in the hands of Facebook/Reddit/Twitter, but I'm convinced it's because much of the general populace doesn't…

Hey HN. I've made a tool that parses RSS feeds and creates ready-to-post Tweets with ChatGPT.

Hi all, since there are lots of discussions happening about news consumption, I would like to show you a project that I am working on - Feedpresso. https://www.feedpresso.com/ It focuses on content for techies and entrepreneurs so you can expect to get some interesting stuff right away. However, it is not a regular RSS reader - it heavily relies on algos to find exciting stories based on your reading history, from your sources. Also, it includes some abstractions over sources to make using RSS more natural. Give it a try. If there is an interest, I would gladly share some…

Hi, HN! I made this awhile back as a Meower[1] bot that posts RSS feed updates to groupchats, and reads RSS feeds, powered by Extractus' Feed Extractor[2][3]. My friend's groupchat uses this bot to post updates to his blog, and he says that it has been working out great. Looking forward to your feedback and suggestions! Hi everyone, I've been building a less bad way to share photos and videos out to friends and family: https://vzg.me The motivation is personal for me since... 1. I'm not comfortable using Facebook properties 2. Group SMS/email gets out of control with more than a few recipients 3. I don't want to convince my friends and family to download a new app or figure out shared albums So I created a system that lets my network subscribe to individual people in my family and get updates via email, SMS, or RSS at the frequency of their choosing (immediate, daily, or weekly). Subscribers…

Last week I showed prldr.com, a small project I created during my weekends. The immediate thing I learned from the comments was that prldr had to be a RSS reader, which I already had in mind. So after another couple of days programming prldr.com is now a visual rss reader. You read the news by just opening the links from the RSS feeds, simple as that. features for now: management of feeds, import OPML file, keyboard navigation, automatic feed fetching. ps: I disabled preloading of tabs, because some browsers tend to crash when opening 30 iframes :P. Have to implement some stack mechanism to…

Hi HN, Two things inspired me to build this: Andrej Karpathy recently talked about going back to RSS feeds — "higher quality longform and a lot less slop intended to provoke" (https://x.com/karpathy/status/2018043254986703167). Around the same time, Marc Andreessen shared his information source: 25% X, 25% podcasts with practitioners, 25% conversations with AI, 25% old books (https://x.com/pmarca/status/2030949039345467570). This made me realize how much it matters to control what you let in. But I've used to the feed-style reading habit…

I made BlogFlock to help myself discover new blogs, and it's been so lovely for that. I think of it as 'RSS feeds in public'. I promise the colour scheme was a coincidence...
