Pangolin is an open source self-hosted tunneled reverse proxy management server with identity and access control, designed to securely expose private resources through encrypted WireGuard tunnels running in user space. We made Pangolin so you retain full control over your infrastructure while providing a user-friendly and feature-rich solution for managing proxies, authentication, and access, all with a clean and simple dashboard web UI. Hi HN! We’re Yann, Edouard, and Bastien from Koyeb (https://www.koyeb.com/). We’re building a platform to let you deploy full-stack apps on high-performance hardware around the world, with zero configuration. We provide a “global serverless feeling”, without the hassle of re-writing all your apps or managing k8s complexity [1]. We built Scaleway, a cloud service provider where we designed ARM servers and provided them as cloud servers. During our time there, we saw customers struggle with the same issues while trying to deploy full-stack applications and APIs resiliently. As…

It's been 4 month since I work on Lokal full-time, I finally feel confident to share it publicly on YCombinator. Lokal is a software for Tunneling, Local Development, and HTTP Debugging, It's support HTTP, TCP and UDP Tunnel. The different with other tunneling solution is that Lokal has mDNS support with https enabled by default, while other might be only offer public-facing tunnel service. On the latest version 0.3.0, Lokal support Self-hosted Lokal Tunnel Server, which allow you to use your own domain and your own VPS, allow you to have Premium but self-hosted Tunneling Solution. Hi HN, I'm Mohammed, a technical founder who loves shipping and giving back to the community. I'm open-sourcing the full-stack engine that powers my B2B product, apflow.co. What it is: A production B2B starter with a Go backend and Next.js frontend. Both are fully Dockerized with separate containers. No Vercel. No Supabase. Deploy the whole thing on a $6 VPS, or split frontend and backend across different providers. You own the infrastructure. The problem I was solving: Every SaaS starter I evaluated had the same issue: they locked me into someone else's platform. Vercel for hosting.…

Heya HN! We put together a post [0] explaining the motivation for building Supafana in some detail, but in short: we wanted a way to get to database graphs with an effort similar to starting a Supabase project - in essence, in a few clicks. It feels unusual to open-source what is essentially a SaaS infrastructure project, but it also feels pretty great - all our code is here: https://github.com/fogbender/supafana We have some discount codes available - let me know if you want one ([email protected]). Thanks for reading! [0]…

Pangolin (https://github.com/fosrl/pangolin) is an open-source tool for identity-based remote access to internal resources - an alternative to Cloudflare ZTNA, Zscaler, and Twingate. It’s different than existing approaches: mesh VPNs (Tailscale, ZeroTier, etc.) create flat overlay networks where ACL and IP space management becomes complex at scale and every device can talk to every other device, while corporate ZTNA solutions (Zscaler, Cato, Netskope etc.) are closed-source and add latency by forcing traffic through a central server. Pangolin takes a resource-centric…

hi HN, I built supapool.io, an ephemeral full copy of supabase's services that you can spin up in ~400 ms (Auth, postgres, storage, realtime). so if you run multiple coding agents in parallel in different worktrees, they can now have their own copy of supabase without making changes that conflict with eachother. > why not use supabase docker locally? when I run 3-4 instances locally, my macbook gets hot and sometimes freezes. > why not use supabase branches? branches take minutes to setup, and are designed for persistence. this is expensive, and for a dev environment, it is too slow. > why…

I built this tool about a year ago to get really good at the supabase ecosystem. We were trying to raise money on the idea, but that didn't occur, so I wanted to open-source it, as I would love to give back to the commmunity. It allows you to invite friends and family to be helpers for child-care, meals, and transportation, and then you can create an event and they will get auto-invited to it and can choose to support you. It is using vue on the frontend and then supabase on the backend for auth, database, realtime, storage, and edge functions. Anyway, I hope someone finds it useful, there…

Hi! I am sharing this because it may be useful to others. I created a simple Docker image that lets you easily expose a web app running locally on your dev machine to the Internet, via a proxy server. It is a self hosted alternative to something like Ngrok, which is a paid service if you use custom domains. A small server is cheaper than Ngrok (I use Hetzner Cloud and the cheapest server costs me 3€ per month). I use this method in particular to test HTTP verification with Let's Encrypt for a SaaS app running on my Mac. Hope this is useful :) Code:…
