A data store like Firestore and Algolia all in one
I created a data store called Nubostore that is serverless, globally distributed, strongly consistent, low latency, real-time, with Instant-Search engine, and accessible via REST and GraphQL. I wanted a powerful data storage system, without the complexity of database management. Please let me know your thoughts! https://nubo.app/nubostore

In plain words
Nubostore is a serverless data storage platform that combines database functionality with search capabilities. It offers global distribution, strong consistency, low latency, and real-time updates, accessible through REST and GraphQL APIs. Designed for developers who need powerful data storage without managing infrastructure, it eliminates the complexity of traditional database administration while providing instant search capabilities similar to dedicated search engines.

Turbolite – a SQLite VFS serving sub-250ms cold JOIN queries from S3Mar 2026 · github.com · ▲185I built a SQLite VFS in Rust that serves cold queries directly from S3 with sub-second performance, and often much faster. It’s called turbolite. It is experimental, buggy, and may corrupt data. I would not trust it with anything important yet. I wanted to explore whether object storage has gotten fast enough to support embedded databases over cloud storage. Filesystems reward tiny random reads and in-place mutation. S3 rewards fewer requests, bigger transfers, immutable objects, and aggressively parallel operations where bandwidth is often the real constraint. This was explicitly inspired…

GoatDB – A lightweight, offline-first, realtime NoDB for Deno and React2025 · github.com · ▲90Hey HN, We've been experimenting with a real-time, version-controlled NoDB for Deno & React called GoatDB. The idea is to remove backend complexity while keeping apps fast, offline-resilient, and easy to self-host. Runs on the client – No backend required, incremental queries keep things efficient. Self-hosted & lightweight – Deploy a single executable, no server stack needed. Offline-first & resilient – Clients work independently & can restore state after server outages. Edge-native & fast – Real-time sync happens locally with minimal overhead. Why We Built It: We needed something that’s…

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

Hi HN! I made many small web games in the past with Unity or Phaser. But this time I wanted to make something completely on my own. So I coded a basic game framework in plain JavaScript, and used it to make Almost Pong. This was a really fun project that taught me a lot about JavaScript, and I plan to make more minimalist games with this framework. Interesting fact: Almost Pong doesn't load any assets, all sprites and sounds are generated with code. Happy to answer questions, and please let me know if you have any feedback on the game. Thanks!
