Abundance Galactic OS.

A General Intelligence. (as much as it gets).

What it does

The architecture is deliberately offline-first: graceful degradation, on-device persistence, knowledge-over-raw-data distillation, and a self-curating library that compounds capability with use rather than depreciating it. Bring-your-own-key, no data egress beyond the model you elect to call. Mobile-first, responsive, production-minded. This is edge intelligence as a portable asset — sovereign, resilient, and enterprise-shaped.

Does the same job

    Waycore – an open-source, offline-first modular field computerDec 2025 · ▲49

Hi HN, I’m building Waycore, an open-source project exploring what a flexible, offline-first field computer should look like for outdoor, survival, and off-grid scenarios. The core goals are adaptability and resilience: modular hardware (external sensor/tool modules) extensible OS with support for external apps (guidelines in progress) no required internet connection — maps, models, and knowledge work offline optional LTE/Wi-Fi when available and explicitly enabled A major focus is on-device agentic AI, not just chat or image recognition. The AI is intended to: read live sensor…

    Ascend.io – Smarter Data Pipelines2019 · ▲23

Hi HN, I’m Sean, the founder of Ascend.io (https://www.ascend.io). I’m really excited to post here and announce the launch of Ascend.io, a radical new way of designing, scaling, and automating data pipelines. Ascend is the result of nearly 4 years of development effort for a team that is now 30-strong, and I would love for you to give it a test drive and let me what you think. I’ve felt this pain since I wrote my first MapReduce in 2004 (using Sawzall @ Google), and in the 15 years since, things have not improved at the pace of other parts of the technology ecosystem. When I went…

    New approach for CI/CD/compute system2025 · egdaemon.com · ▲22

I've been tired with the current options on the market for awhile and decided to do something about it after the running into the disaster that is MLOps at my last two startups and having to manage a multiple operation platforms both for my fellow ML engineers, the general application CI/CD and orchestration layers while simultaneously building the application itself. Its still extremely early for the product but its functioning and is well on its way. I'd love feedback on the approach and peoples thoughts on the problem space. Personally my irritations have been in the poor tooling,…

We built a knowledge hub for running LLMs on edge devices2024 · github.com · ▲13

Hey HN! Alex and Zack from Nexa AI here. We are excited to share a project our team has been passionately working on recently, in collaboration with Jiajun from Meta, Qun from San Francisco State University, and Xin and Qi from the University of North Texas. Running AI models on edge devices is becoming increasingly important. It's cost-effective, ensures privacy, offers low-latency responses, and allows for customization. Plus, it's always available, even offline. What's really exciting is that smaller-scale models are now approaching the performance of large-scale closed-source models for…

An addendum to the Agile Manifesto for the AI eraMar 2026 · github.com · ▲7

I'm a VP of Engineering with 20 years in the field. I've been thinking deeply on why AI is breaking every engineering practice, and it led me to the conclusion that the Agile Manifesto's values need updating. The core argument: AI made producing software cheap, but understanding it is still expensive. The Manifesto optimizes for the former. This addendum shifts the emphasis toward the latter. Four updated values, three refined principles, with reasoning for each. Happy to discuss and defend any of it.

Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!
