Accounts Draft
Hi, my name is Robert Benson-May. I'm the founder of Accounts Draft. Over the years, I've been building businesses in my spare time with varying degrees of success, but I always really had one problem - I selfishly never really created something people want (I'm sure this may resonate with some of you…) For some reason, I thought that making something that was new or pushed the boundaries of technology, wouldn’t make me any wealth (dumb me, eh?), so in the past I pursued things like e-commerce and an email newsletter. Well I've now kind of realized that making something of real value…

Hey HN, I’m Atmiya. I built Invoce.ai because invoicing always felt unnecessarily slow and bloated. Most tools make you click through forms and settings just to send an invoice. With Invoce, you simply chat with AI, describe the work you did, and it creates a clean invoice instantly. It’s early and intentionally simple. I’m curious how others here handle invoicing today and what feels most frustrating. Happy to answer questions and hear feedback.

Drafting AI – Human-in-the-loop AI automation for ops teams' email2024 · getdrafting.com · ▲29Hi HN, I'm Jared from Drafting AI (https://getdrafting.com/). We're a Chrome extension that helps operations and customer support teams work through their inboxes more efficiently. Here's a quick demo video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCDqAMaYx2Q We believe AI can be deployed more widely when you mitigate hallucinations through human-in-the-loop review. This led to two decisions: 1. A Chrome Extension is ideal for presenting actions in third-party apps for human review. When AI suggests issuing a refund via Shopify, what better way to show it than through…
hirebetter.ioJan 2026 · hirebetter.io · ▲31Hi HN! I, Tom, am a founder of hirebetter and I’d love to share what we’ve been working on and get feedback from the community. hirebetter is a set of AI-driven tools designed to take over repetitive manual tasks that recruiters and solo founders often face when hiring. At a high level, it helps with things like drafting outreach messages, filtering candidate profiles, and generating tailored interview prompts, all with the goal of saving time and making the hiring process consistent across candidates. My co-founders have spent years in recruiting and hiring for small teams, and found…

The site hit #1 on HN about a year ago. Got enough traffic that I turned it into a proper API. What's there: - REST API — 35k products, manually filterable by category, free key, 60 req/min - CLI — npx anycrap random -c food - faker.js plugin — bundled, no API call, works offline - HuggingFace dataset — full 35k rows for ML/training https://anycrap.shop/developers

I made a built-from scratch Wayland Compositor to display any GUI app* in the terminal! I think there is a lot of unexplored potential in custom Wayland compositors, a lot of really cool things you can embed existing applications into! So, I started with embedding apps into the terminal because that is the easiest input/output (output is just utf-8 and I use the great `chafa` library for that, and I just read from stdin for the input). If you have any other ideas for cool Wayland compositors, let me know. I purposedly wrote 80% the app in Typescript to appeal to the most developers and…

Years ago I stumbled across a basic version of this concept and it stuck with me. I knew if I was ever going to take on such a project, it would need to be flawless, but without coding experience it was just another idea that would never happen. By the end of 2024, as AI coding tools exploded everywhere, I finally had a way to make it real. I started from zero knowledge and spent months collaborating with AI agents as a learning experience. Every pixel and every function went through me. The AI translated what I asked for into code, but every decision was human. I didn't use existing OS…
