Agora
Open-source multi-agent council for research and execution
What it does
Agora is an open-source multi-agent system built for research, discussion, and execution. Instead of relying on a single assistant, Agora splits work across roles: moderator for routing, scout for information gathering, architect for solution design, critic for risk review, synthesizer for action items, and executor for approved execution. It brings multi-agent workflows, real-time discussion, and artifact generation into one UI.

- MOMastra – Open-source JS agent framework, by the developers of Gatsby2025 · github.com · ▲442
Hi HN, we’re Sam, Shane, and Abhi, and we’re building Mastra (https://mastra.ai), an open-source JavaScript SDK for building agents on top of Vercel’s AI SDK. You can start a Mastra project with `npm create mastra` and create workflow graphs that can suspend/resume, build a RAG pipeline and write evals, give agents memory, create multi-agent workflows, and view it all in a local playground. Previously, we built Gatsby, the open-source React web framework. Later, we worked on an AI-powered CRM but it felt like we were having to roll all the AI bits (agentic workflows, evals,…

- M1Mastra 1.0, open-source JavaScript agent framework from the Gatsby devsJan 2026 · github.com · ▲213
Hi HN, we're Sam, Shane, and Abhi. Almost a year ago, we first shared Mastra here (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43103073). It’s kind of fun looking back since we were only a few months into building at the time. The HN community gave a lot of enthusiasm and some helpful feedback. Today, we released Mastra 1.0 in stable, so we wanted to come back and talk about what’s changed. If you’re new to Mastra, it's an open-source TypeScript agent framework that also lets you create multi-agent workflows, run evals, inspect in a local studio, and emit observability. Since our…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.

Hey HN, Henry from Cactus here! We previously released Cactus Needle, a 14MB agentic LLM for tool call, device use, and structured extraction for phones, wearables, smart homes, small robots and microcontrollers. We got really great feedback here, and have now incorporated the suggestions to release Needle 2. The whole model is a single 14MB binary that runs a full session in 28MB of RAM; 45m parameters at 2bit compression. Needle hits 500 tokens/sec decode speed on a Raspberry Pi 5, sits between 400-1,500 tokens/sec on VR devices like Meta Quest 3S and Apple Vision Pro, and ranges…

Built a ~9M param LLM from scratch to understand how they actually work. Vanilla transformer, 60K synthetic conversations, ~130 lines of PyTorch. Trains in 5 min on a free Colab T4. The fish thinks the meaning of life is food. Fork it and swap the personality for your own character.

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
