AutoHotkey for Linux
Hello HN, this is the first functional reimplementation of AutoHotkey [1] for Unix-like systems, as far as I am aware. Half the commands are still missing, but everything important is done, as I have worked a lot on it over the past two months. Converting scripts into stand alone binaries is also supported. Hope this will find some adoption eventually. :-) - This implementation focuses on v1.0-like classic syntax from 2004 (!). This is a significant subset of the popular current v1.1 syntax from Windows (AHK_L). The reason this does not (yet?) target the full Windows spec is how complex it…
In plain words
AutoHotkey for Linux is a reimplementation of the Windows automation scripting language for Unix-like systems. It supports classic AutoHotkey v1.0 syntax for creating hotkeys, automation scripts, and GUIs. The tool can convert scripts into standalone binaries. While it covers essential functionality, some commands remain incomplete compared to the full Windows version. It is designed for users familiar with AutoHotkey who need similar automation capabilities on Linux systems.

This is a significant subset of the popular current v1.1 syntax from Windows (AHK_L). The reason this does not (yet?) target the full Windows spec is how complex it is. Notably, there's also another ongoing project which targets v2 called KeySharp [2]. If you are not aware of what AHK is, it is an easy but capable scripting language for automation and Hotkeys, and all sorts of visual things like GUIs. If you want to learn more, there plenty of info on the repo, the docs html, and there's an active AHK Discord too, and I am personally also checking the forums and HN of course. Hi HN, I built Eigendrum, a web tool that solves the 2D wave equation for arbitrary shapes so you can hear what they sound like as drums. How it works: * Solves -∇²u = λu using finite element analysis (Kφ = λMφ) on a triangle mesh. * Validated to <0.1% error against closed-form solutions for circles (Bessel zeros) and rectangles. * Sound model factors in strike location, Rayleigh damping, and mallet width. * Includes Kac drums I & II to demonstrate identical sound spectra from different geometries. * No frameworks, build steps, or dependencies. Repo and tests:…

Hey HN, I've been working on https://pornpen.ai, a site for generating adult images. Please only visit the site if you are 18+ and willing to look at NSFW images. This site is an experiment using newer text-to-image models. I explicitly removed the ability to specify custom text to avoid harmful imagery from being generated. New tags will be added once the prompt-engineering algorithm is fine-tuned further. If the servers are overloaded, take a look at the feed and search pages to look through past results.
