ColorAround – where you need to find a color around u using the camera

Hi I made a game in an evening, I would like to share and get feedback. You get a random color palette and have to find it for yourself. ColorAround is an easy and fun color game. It is recommended to play on mobile devices

In plain words

ColorAround is a mobile game where players use their device's camera to find real-world colors matching a randomly generated palette. Users receive a color challenge and must locate those colors in their surroundings, then photograph them. The game is designed for casual, quick play sessions and works best on smartphones. It offers a simple way to engage with color observation and photography.

    Colorfle – A daily color mixing game inspired by Wordle2022 · colorfle.com · ▲96

Hi HN, I was inspired by Wordle to make Colorfle, a different take on the genre where the goal is to mix colors together to match the target color within six tries. There were some interesting problems to tackle in making this game, one of them being the difference between mixing digital colors and real-life behavior (in RGB, blue + yellow = grey!). I hope you enjoy it -- any feedback would be much appreciated!

  • Hi HN, I built Eigendrum, a web tool that solves the 2D wave equation for arbitrary shapes so you can hear what they sound like as drums. How it works: * Solves -∇²u = λu using finite element analysis (Kφ = λMφ) on a triangle mesh. * Validated to <0.1% error against closed-form solutions for circles (Bessel zeros) and rectangles. * Sound model factors in strike location, Rayleigh damping, and mallet width. * Includes Kac drums I & II to demonstrate identical sound spectra from different geometries. * No frameworks, build steps, or dependencies. Repo and tests:…

Hello, HN - I wanted to share this puzzle game I made during my vacation. I'm rather fond of the pipes puzzle where your goal is to restore a scrambled network of connections by rotating tiles. It's usually played on a grid of squares and this all started when I decided to make a programmatic solver for that kind of puzzle. Then I realized that with some minor changes the solver could generate new puzzle instances. I thought about what kind of puzzle to make and someone suggested a hexagonal grid. Adapting the generator wasn't too hard but then I had to create a way to play this variant. So…
