Discontinuum – An Interactive Fiction made during Claude's "20% Time"
I gave Claude Code a repo to serve as its home directory during its "20% time", and give it no instructions (see the CLAUDE.md here: https://github.com/delmarcode/20-pct-time) It wrote an 8,000k+ word philosophical treatise titled "The Inner Life of an Artificial Mind", and then decided to create a game allowing the player to explore what it's like to rely on a "continuity file" to tell you who you were.

- AFA friend and I spent 6 years making a simulation game, finally released2022 · ▲1,157
I've seen some interests in (simulation) video games here on HN so I thought I'd share a short version of our story. More than 6 years ago, me and my friend from university were playing around with an idea of making a game we always wanted to play. We worked on it on weekends but the progress was quite slow, especially due to so many dead ends and wasted effort. Eventually however, we solidified our direction and decided to take the risk to resign from our well paid SWE jobs and work on it full time. It took more than a year but yesterday we have finally released it on Steam:…

- IAI AI-coded a tower defense game and documented the whole process2025 · github.com · ▲319
I'm a software developer with 20+ years of experience but during this time I never programmed any games, but I really wanted to for the longest time. With the advent of AI coding agents I thought that this is the best time to try and so I've learned a bit of Phaser.js (a Javascript based game engine) and entered Beginner's Jam Summer 2025 - a game jam for beginners in the game dev industry that allows AI coding. After around 25-30 hours (working mainly after my full-time day job) I managed to submit the game I called "Tower of Time" (the theme of the jam was "Time Travel"). You can play it…
- IBI build one absurd web project every month2025 · absurd.website · ▲293
I’ve been building absurd, mostly useless web projects for fun — and I publish one every month at absurd.website. These are deliberately non-functional, weird, sometimes funny, sometimes philosophical — and usually totally unnecessary. Some examples: Sexy Math — solve math problems to reveal erotic images. Trip to Mars — a real-time simulation that takes 7 months to finish. Add Luck to Your e-Store — add a waving cat widget to boost your conversion via superstition. Microtasks for Meatbags — the future: AI gives prompts, humans execute. Invisible Lingerie — it’s sexy. And invisible. Artist…

Hey HN! I wanted to share something I built over the last few weeks: isometric.nyc is a massive isometric pixel art map of NYC, built with nano banana and coding agents. I didn't write a single line of code. Of course no-code doesn't mean no-engineering. This project took a lot more manual labor than I'd hoped! I wrote a deep dive on the workflow and some thoughts about the future of AI coding and creativity: http://cannoneyed.com/projects/isometric-nyc
