Post an idea. Let strangers price it in seconds

What it does

Two ways to use dupay. As a validator: post an idea, real people price it in one tap, no account needed. $0 is a valid answer with its own leaderboard tab next to the ideas people would actually pay for. Become a Builder: claim an idea that priced well and inherit everyone who said yes. You start day 0 with real people ready to buy, not a blank inbox. Most tools tell you if an idea is good. dupay gives you the people who already agreed.

A market where people say what they would actually pay for products nobody has built. Not likes — declared willingness to pay, in euros and dollars, on ideas before they exist.

Name a price on something nobody has built yet. No account needed. Hi HN! I made a really quick web app to help people validate their ideas. The app is a simple landing page builder, but every page includes a really simple Yes/No "Are You Interested?" poll. Every vote is recorded and tracked, and if they click yes they are brought to a page where they can submit an email. This makes validating ideas super easy because you can post your link to different communities and get statistically significant results as well as build an email list. Given an hour, you could easily create 50 different landing pages and be able to validate your ideas in bulk. The…

  • I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers. The UX is essentially that of a chess clock for an arbitrary number of players with configurable time. The whole point of the app is to kick you out of the running role/priority when its time is up. One…
